*Malefica still looked worried.*
"I have never seen Gawain like that before. I am wondering why he was crying. Like something was troubling him. And since I didn't know what it was, I couldn't help him. And he didn't eat anything at all yesterday. Usually, he has a healthy apetite."
*When Merlin left the room after a nod in Dracula's direction, Malefica sat down in a chair and offered her chest to Gawain. She spoke mildly to him.*
"Are you hungry, Gawain?"

*As Merlin left, Gawain's smile faded and as she exposed her breast, he started to look unsure.*

*Malefica looked warmly into Gawain's eyes, with all the love her heart held for him.*
"What is wrong sweetie? Momma loves you? She would never harm you or put you in harm's way. Don't you know that?"
*She caressed him gently and offered her chest to him.*
"You need to eat, Gawain. To keep your strength up."
*She mumbled quietly to Dracula.*
"Do you now see why I am so worried?"

*Dracula still didn't see anything out of the ordinary.*
"Perhaps the child was fed while you were away."
*He sighed, knowing that she would not accept that answer and that as the child's mother, she had the right to worry.*
"Here." *He opened his arms, offering to take the child.*
"Perhaps there is something I might be able to discern on closer inspection."

*Malefica just looked at her husband, knowingly, when he asked if the child was fed while she was away. Her worries for her son was riding her like a nightmare. She looked down at Gawain for a moment, clearly worried for him. Then she kissed him and placed him in her husband's arms. She stayed close, ready to take her child if he should start crying again.*
"Please.... be careful with him...."
*Even if she trusted her husband, she couldn't help but worry for her baby. And she watched over him like a hawk, like any good mother would do.*

"I would never seek to harm him."
*Dracula smiled gently, but as soon as he took the child, both let out a sharp scream as Dracula's flesh burned away to the bone. He shoved the child back at its mother, his face shifting to its bestial visage. He snarled and recoiled to the shadows, whimpering in pain. There was the heavy smell of burnt flesh in the air.*
*Gawain screamed, kicking and flailing with a fury that he'd never shown before.*

*By the sound of Gawain's screaming, Merlin stormed into the room, ready to protect Gawain with his own life if necessary.*
"What is going on here?"
*He shouted and lifted up the boy, holding him protectively in his arms.*

*Dracula remained crouched in the corner, gripping his hands which had not yet begun to mend themselves. His breaths came deep in pain as he tried to calm itself.*
*Gawain screamed and kicked, beating against Merlin, but there was no sign of physical damage to his small body.*

*Merlin cradled Gawain protectively in his arms, rocking him back and forth, stroking his hair gently. He spoke gently to the baby.*
"There, there. Merlin is here now. Nothing can harm you, child. You are safe. Old Merlin will protect you. Don't be afraid."

*A beautiful woman of Elven race appeared in the doorway. She had mild green eyes, and there was an aura of light around her. She was wearing a long green dress. Her voice was soft and melodic.*
"What is going on in here?"
*She asked in her warm, friendly voice. Then she noticed the crying baby and went over to Merlin. Without touching Gawain she spoke to him in a friendly manner.*
"Gawain, Im Leetah. Telin le thaed."
((Gawain, I am Leetah. I have come to help you.))

*Leetah gave Merlin a friendly nod, and they walked in to the room next door. Leetah turned her head in the doorway and told Malefica to take care of her husband. Malefica nodded and knelt beside Dracula.
Leetah closed the door behind her and looked over at Merlin, who still was standing there with Gawain in his arms. Then her eyes softened as she looked mildly at Gawain. She was a motherly elf, and her heart was filled with love and compassing for all living things on earth.*
"Now, child. What can I do to help you out?"
*She lifted him up in her arms, and her hands started glowing with a bright light.*

*Dracula stared at the bones in his hands, exposed underneath charred flesh.*
"What...is that?" *He seethed, still very much in pain.*
