Demiselle smiled and slipped the ring back on.
"Whether or not your interest is unfortunate is for me to say, I think. However, monsieur, I think it is better if I say no more in such an open place. Even walls have ears, and your lake sings of knowledge."
She paused, then added, "I wonder, monsieur, if you are as ignorant as you claim to be. I think you recognized my seal, and my sign. I am on the hunt, and for my people, I ask a boon of you."
She caught his eyes beneath the mask and spoke frankly for the first time.
"I require your...assistance, if you will, to create a masterpiece. He is the ultimate sacrifice, but in order to deliver him, I have need of more training. I am here to engage your services, as Death's willing apprentice. And I am here on behalf of the Order, whom I think you know rather well."

Erik shook his head, "If you wish to go somewhere more private, I'm afriad you wont find anywhere. I know and controll what's in those waters. nothing you say she can't hear." He was starting to become impatient with the woman. "If I did or did not reconize your seal is for me to know. I am not an assasin for hire, nor am I a tutor that is going to reveal the secrets of the dark, that you so obviously seek. You have come from persia, I may assume?"

"No, monsieur, I did not come from Persia, though I attended there for sometime," she said sharply.
"As for your word," she added more quietly, "I shall take it...and indeed, hold you to it."
She caught his impatience and sighed, "That was not a threat, monsieur...merely a reply."
She smiled.
"I am not looking for a tutor, per say. But I am curious. The kahumn spoke rather interestingly of you...though what she did speak of was filled with rage. Silly woman."
"Monsieur, I will be frank with you. Your genius is known throughout a good portion of the world...but so is your ability to kill. As interested as the Dawn is in you, I shall not push you if you do not wish to tell me."
"But I wonder, sir, why you kill, for you claim to be no assassin...and yet..." she let her eyes trail to the bit of catgut, "your person speaks otherwise."

((aw man, I wanted to torment nadir... )) "Whether I appear the assasin is because man has made me so." he lowered his voice, "Perhaps the Kahumn spoke of why the court magician amused her so." he noticed the somewhat surprised look on her face, "I was no assasin for the royal court of Persia. I was a magician paid to entertain. The Kahumn was a twisted and morbid woman who ejoyed the suffering of others. It was my life, or theirs." he suddenly laughed, a cold sound, void of any humor "I expect the Kahumn would be filled with rage. what is it you want exactly speak frankly. I am not one for word games and I do not wish to remain here any longer"

"You and I are more alike than you think, monsieur. All I ask is that you allow me to remain in this Opera House, unharmed, free to come and go as I please. I hunt for a murderer, you see, and I had hoped for your assistance. If that is not to be, very well then. But in the meantime, I ask for your indulgence to allow me free passage throughout your home."

Erik was silent for a moment, he did not like the thought of someone roaming free in his home. but he could always dispose of her if she revealed him. He nodded finally "Alright. no harm will come to you from my hand, I am not going to speak for the numerous defenses I have down here. If you fall into on of them, it is not my responsibility." he turned to go, "if you'll excuse me, I have things that need to be attended to" this is an opera house...it's high time that we put on an opera

*Paris stared around, her silver 4-inch heels planted firmly in the round.* This is so not hot. *She clutched Tinkerbelle closer to her.* Um, HELLO??? Where is everybody? The paparazzi? I KNOW you aren't off taking pictures of Nicole. Or ELSE. *She glared around.* HELLO?

((As you wish ...that sounded really morbid, didn't it?)) Erik, his patience gone, stopped at the sound of yet another voice, drifting through hishome. she had obviously not spotted him yet, he could spare a few minutes to refresh everyone's memory of the Opera Ghost. turning, he followed the infuriating voice, sticking to the shadows, so that she wouldnot see him approach.
