**SOME INDETERMINATE AMOUNT OF TIME LATER**
**ENOUGH TIME FOR MARIUS TO HEAL, THAT IS**
*Seeing as he could lift his own food now, Aimee brought Marius's dinner (roasted chicken and potatoes) as well as her own in on a tray, as well as two sets of utensils, intending on eating with him.*

*Though still somewhat weak-kneed, he'd managed to get out of bed and dress in fresh clothes before she entered the room. He was resting against the pillows, sitting up, when she appeared*
"Ah, my two favorite things--my wife and food."

"I certainly hope I'm on the top of that list, otherwise you won't be getting any food." *She teased, setting the food down and sitting crosslegged on the bed in a way that would make it easy for them both to eat.*

"You and the children, my dear. It's just that at the moment, I feel like thinking with my stomach."

*She chuckled.*
"Well I suppose it's the best answer I'll get, isn't it?" *She said, and promptly bit into a piece of potato.*

*Marius speared a cut of chicken on his fork*
"So, how have the children been? I feel like I've missed soo much of their lives..."

"Well, Johanna's stringing simple sentences together now, and Alain's just starting to bunny hop (which doesn't sound very exciting but it means his leg muscles are getting advanced coordination)... oh, and he's learned to stand on one foot for short periods of time." *She went on happily.* "And Johanna's getting more and more multisyllabic words down..."

*He smiled as Aimee spoke, resolving that once he could leave this room, the first thing he'd do was see his children*
"That's wonderful...I'm sure Johanna will be chattering away in no time, and Alain getting into his share of trouble..."

*She smiled, and reached out a hand to take his in her own. She didn't know what to say now, but she didn't need to say anything.*

*Not wanting to break the easy quiet, Marius leaned to gently kiss his wife*

*Despite having been married to him for an amount of time that should have stopped such an event, her heart leapt into her throat and she got little butterflies in her gut, just the same as when he'd first kissed her. But this time, she confidently, if gently, kissed him back.*

((Hee...I was just reading the part with their first kiss.))
"I missed you," he said, before kissing her again.

((It's because I ARE PSYCHIC))
*She smiled against his mouth, resting a hand on his shoulder gently, so as not to jostle any injuries.*
"I missed you, too." *She said softly.*

*He touched her face, lightly trailing a finger down her cheek*
"Don't ever let me do something so crazy ever again."
*Another kiss, this one with a bit more behind it*

*She wrapped her arms around him, responding in kind. She'd take the opportunity to inform him that she'd insisted upon his not doing it later--now was too precious to be wasted.*
