Ramses sat at a large table in side of a large tree house awaiting Leetahs return.
She had gone to inform the troops of their new leader.
Of course, she could be lying.
He had seemingly, re-learned his distrust for people since his meeting with Ghengis. Although he did not distrust the man, he had remembered why he did not trust others.
He had been a pharaoh once, the greatest of them all, and even if Leetah had lied to him about giving him the army, even if she had lied about everything.
It didn't matter.
Not anymore.

Leetah walked through the door regally as she had done many times before and stood on the other side of the table.
"They won't listen to me."

"Of course they won't" Ramses groaned and he stood "why should they?"

"They aren't yours to give!" He bellowed across the empty room.
His voice echoed for moments after as Ramses stared at Leetah, his eyes burning.

"Ramses please!" She quivered.

"It's all been a lie, hasn't it Leetah? HASN'T, IT, LEETAH!" He pounded his fist on the table "You tell me that your daughter has gone missing, I go find her, you tell me that your brother has gone missing, I say that I will find him, every time something goes wrong for you, I fix it! Where is your husband? WHERE IS YOUR SOULMATE?! WHY DOES HE DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU?!"

"Ramses I tried to convince them, I really did... but it seems they've given themselves to the humans."
She turned from him, totally ignoring what he had just said.

"Of course they have" he started slowly walking to the other side of the table "if you'd pay attention to your people you would have known they had. But you are too busy playing sick to realize such things. What kind of ruler would you have been if these humans didn't come to power?"
He finally made it to where she was standing.

She turned to him slowly and raised her hand to slap him.

Ramses grabbed her arm "I don't imagine you even care for your kingdom" he spat "this is why they have abandoned you. This is why your kingdom slowly fall in to ruin, not because of these people, but because they have stopped caring. You say you can hear the voice of the wood, but for once Leetah, hear the voice of the people."
He threw her arms back and walked out of the door.

Leetah slumped down in to the chair and began to cry.

Ramses poked his head back in and spoke softly "Steerpike addresses the people" and then he was gone.

His voice startled Leetah and she turned her head quickly, but he was all ready gone.
She slowly stood up and walked out the door, Ramses was no where to be seen. She looked out across the forest toward the castle where a large mob of people had gathered.
She pulled her self together and began walking toward the castle.
