He briefly considered being coy, but decided the heck with it and went for honesty.
"I...okay, it's silly, but if you listen carefully here, you can hear the singing."

Louis smirked "Delightful isn't it? The most beautiful gift god could bestow upon his most favored children" his ears picked up a high note and he smiled "yet the people of the opera squander it like petulant children."

"I wouldn't know. I've never actually been inside an opera house--I'd never make it past the front door."
At the last sentence, he indicated his own appearance: worn-out and raggedy-edged (well, his coat was) clothes having long ago faded to a nothing dark gray. Not that he looked like a bum, as he tried his best to keep the dirt off and mostly succeeded. Scuffed boots rounded it out.

"Well than" he smiled sadly "than you should accompany me inside" he held out his arm.

Well, he hadn't been expecting that. While he would love more than anything to go in, it might invite trouble--who knew just what past customers might be there?
"I...I'd love to but I don't know if that's a good idea..."

Louis sighed "If I gave you my coat, would you come with me?" It had been snowing outside, but it wasn't as if he'd feel it.

"If you don't mind paying for me...sure."
He'd purposely worded the sentence that way, to be taken as however the other might want to.

Louis raised a coy eyebrow before smiling, covering his teeth, he wouldn't want the boy to run would he? He had been ever so lonely as of late, although he had made many new, yet strange, aqauintances, he still seemed lonely.
"I understand" he almost whispered "how much may I ask, for a night of good, conversation?"
((I so suck at spelling))

((Naww. Only missing one letter in one word. That's not a suck!))
He coyly lowered his eyes, his voice soft as he named the price, neither high nor low.

"That seems reasonable, although" Louis pulled his coat off and offered to put it on the boy "I always tip well."

As he slipped on the offered coat, the coy look stayed...except for one brief wink at Louis.
"I've been known to earn it."

"Let's hope so" Louis offered his arm again and lead the boy to the front of the opera house, where the front doorsman let them in gladly.
"Monsieur Du Lac" they bowed as Louis pulled the boy in to the doors.
((Stay here or move to the foyer or auditorium or wha?))

Taking Louis' arm, László followed him into the opera house, a bit nervous once they approached the doors. The nervousness was unfounded, however, and he stepped into the foyer with a little thrill and a rapidly beating heart.
((We can just zoom to the auditorium))

Ghislain was vaguely aware that, being as one could hear the rehearsal going on inside the Auditorium from where he was now, leaning against a railing with his eyes flickering over passers-by in appraisal as he tapped ash off his cigarette, he probably should have been inside with them, but he wasn't particularly flummoxed. Ghislain was hard to flummox in general.
