**NEW DAY** Continued from: Home+AgainLouis had planned on leaving the opera, as his stomach doubled with pain, his eyes had gone blurry and somehow the young man had found himself stumbling around in a dank cellar. He groaned and fell to his knee's, as he did so, he heard a squeak and the sickening crack of bone. He looked down and saw a large rat lying dead beneath his knee and swiftly picked it up, draining it, as he finished he dropped it to the ground and noticed that the cellar was simply teeming with rats and he began to feed.

*Julian looked up from the shore of the lake, immediately troubled. Something was wrong. Somewhere else. He stood gracefully, making his way easily through the cellars until he came upon a disgusting sight. Slowed for only a moment as his stomach turned, he caught the man by the hair, pulling him up with a righteous fury.*
"What do you think you're doing?" *He snarled, pinning the man to the wall. No. Not a man. On closer inspection...something else.*

Louis covered in blood roared at the man pushing against his almost god like grip. There was a piece of rat fur stuck to his lip and was vibrating as he yelled "Release me!"

"No." *Julian's voice was a low growl as he pushed harder into the man's neck.*
"What are you doing here? These rodents are not open fare."

Louis showed no signs of pain from the mans hold and continued to pull on the mans arm with as much strength as he could muster. After finally deciding there was no way to get out he conceeded "I was disorintated, became lost, this is what I am doing here, now release me."

*Something was definitely not right, but Julian released him, dropping him suddenly.*
"You are not welcome. You should leave while you're still able."
*One of the rats that had scampered away from Louis returned, climbing nimbly up Julian's clothing to perch on his shoulder.*

Louis blinked hard, he hadn't fed long enough he was sure of it, it seemed however that this man protected these vermin, and would not leave him to be.
An idea came to him suddenly, and at first it seemed impossible, but slowly it began to make sense.
"Are you the one they fear above?"
He knew he had no right to question, that the man would readily try and kill him at any time, but it did not concern him.

"The Opera Ghost?" *A dark humor quirked his lips.*
"And if I was?"

"Yes, he" Louis straightened his clothes out, removing his handkerchief and wiping his face "if you were, I'd be quite interested as to find out why the people are so frightened. Your appearence is in the least bit off putting as they say it is, although your strength reigns true."

*Julian exhaled sharply in disapproval.*
"He is far more dangerous than I. If I were he, you'd be dead."
*The rat sat up slightly, tiny paws on his neck as it sniffed about his ear.*

"I very much doubt that... sir" Louis hadn't meant to come off as haughty, but it was just his way, too much time spent with Lestat can do that to a person.
"What I mean is, I am sure what you say is true, but for I, death is no longer an option" he sighed and watched the man carefully. He was beautiful, in a wicked way, graceful in movements and speech, Louis was intriqued to say the least.

*Julian frowned. That's who he reminded him of....Marlow. He too, was intrigued, his cold eyes unblinking.*
"You...you are...like the others." *His lips tightened.* "Blood leech."
*He had no other word for it. But he remembered Marlow's bite, that was certain.*

Louis flinched, that was definitely one way of putting it "Quite, however my creator called what we are, vampires."
((At this point Louis has yet to meet any other vampires, so he's at the beginning stages of thinking he's alone with only Lestat for eternity... poor fella.))

((Yeah, if Rice!vamps met Stigori, I think they might have nightmares.))
*Julian offered the faint roll of his eyes beneath their lids.*
"Vampire..." *He sighed, repeating the word and hoping that the man would understand better than way.* "You are not welcome to leech the rodents that abide here. But there are plenty of humans above. To them, you are welcome."
*Something sparked in the back of his mind and he thought Erik might not approve of slaughter in his shrine.*
"If you are discreet." *He added.*

Louis closed his eyes for a moment "I do not feed on mortals."
