*******NEXT MORNING*****
*The sun flowed in through the window, bathing the room in sunshine. Dewshine woke up and stretched with her arms above her head, not knowing the movement lifted her chest. Neither did she know she was not alone in the room.*

Walter had fallen asleep at some time during the night, but it was a light enough sleep that even Dewshine's gentle stirring woke him up. He fixed his lopsided glasses and peered at her in the bed. Clearly her immodesty showed she was unaware of his presence. He quietly cleared his throat to make himself known, trying not to startle the girl.

((You are aware that she fell asleep fully clothed, right?))
*Dewshine startled and covered herself completely in her blanket. The fear was back in her eyes, and her tiny body trembling.*
"Monsieur Dornez! What are you doing here?"
*Even her voice was trembling.*

((Doesn't mean Walter couldn't see DOWN anything )) Walter stood. He sounded the slightest bit frightened that he had angered her. "I am so sorry to have startled you, ma'am. I was simply keeping watch over you. I know it's not my place. I'll leave you be." He headed toward the door to show himself out.

(( Or through anything ;D ))
*Dewshine blushed and looked down.*
"I - I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound angry. It's - It's just that I'm not used to anyone looking after me anymore. It was very kind of you, Monsieur. Thank you."
*She was still hiding in her blanket.*

At the threshold, Walter turned to face her.
"If you wish me to remain here, I will. Otherwise, I'll just be next door." He had a hint of hope in his voice.

*Dewshine blushed and lowered her eyes.* "I am not accustomed to having witnesses when I shower, monsieur." ((Sorry, I just couldn't resist ))

((Poor Walter.))
"Oh, dear, that's not what I meant at all. I apologize, ma'am. I.. "
He paused for a moment, then, without finishing the sentence, he simply closed the door on himself and showed himself to his own room.

*Dewshine looked puzzled for a while. She hadn't meant to be rude. She was only afraid of men. She quickly got out of bed and slipped into her bathroom. She had a refreshing shower before changing her clothes and brushing her hair. When she was ready she slipped out of her room and knocked on Monsieur Dornez' door.*

Walter had been pacing in his room. Reading would calm him, but he had hastily forgotten his book in the room next door. A knock at the door startled him slightly. He straightened his tie bfore opening it wide. His heart raced, he thought he had angered her, but she didn't look angry; she almost looked worried, he thought.
"Come in, please."

*Dewshine entered and gave him the book she had found in her room.*
"I think you forgot this."

"Oh. Thank you, ma'am." He was disappointed that she only visited to return the book.
"Would you like to sit? I was just about to make some tea." He pulled a small kettle out of one of his bags. He still hadn't unpacked his goods he bought the other day. He filled the kettle with water and set it on the fire before searching the bags for the tea leaves.

*Dewshine blushed and looked down for a moment. She was not feeling safe around men. But so far, this one had never done anything to her. She looked up at him and smiled.*
"Well, tea sounds good. I have completely forgotten to eat today."
*She looked around in his room while she was waiting.*

Walter retrieved two cups and continued to brew the tea. His back was to her.
"I want to apologize for last night. I know you are not comfortable with the touch of others. I simply felt as though I needed to do something, and it was short-sighted. Also, I should have allowed you to have privacy while you slept. I was worried about you, but it was no excuse."
He stood and offered her one of the cups.
"I've been so ungentlemanly, and I'm sorry for that."

*Dewshine accepted the cup offered to her and nodded.*
"Thank you. And please don't apologize to me. You haven't done anything wrong. You were only kind and helpful. Not ungentlemanly at all."
*To ease the awkwardness in the room she looked up at him and asked.*
"What kind of job were you thinking of offering me?"
