*Jekyll, a case of bottles and equipment under one arm and an expensive suitcase under the other, entered the shop. There had been a sign advertising a room to let, and he thought that he might be more anonymous in such a place than in a bustling hotel.*

"'ello there, come in come in" Maggie ushered him to a stool by the (Candy)bar "Here, drink this" She handed him a dark almost black looking drink. "What can I help you with?"

*Jekyll looked down at the liquid. He'd learned something about drinking unidentifiable potions.*
"Er... I was rather hoping I could rent the room you advertised," *he said.* "Is it still open?"

*Jekyll glanced at the brew once more. He couldn't imagine why that might be.
But then, no one would look for him above a sweet shop.*
"Well I should like to, very much," *he said. He named a sum that was more than sufficient, especially sight unseen.* "Will that cover a request for absolute privacy, Mrs. Lovett?"

"Of course.. But i'm not married you can call me maggie. The stairs are through there,"She pointed to the kitchen" if you need any food or anything ust let me know." She smiled

"Miss Lovett, then," *he said.* "Thank you. I will. I appreciate your hospitality."
*Jekyll climbed the stairs to his new rooms.*
