*Holmes crept through the silent station, without actually seeming to creep. He was too much of gentleman to even think of actually crawling anywhere if he didn't have to, so he was merely silent and careful.
There had to be some reference to the sort of crime Huggins had described. Foolish boy! For all his success, no smarter than he'd been ten years ago.
Holmes found the files on recent cases and was soon in possession of a number of photographs and crime scene reports. He had no relationship with the authorities here, and furthermore was meant to be dead.*
