Full Name: Arianielle (Aria) Angelique DeLancy
Age: 19
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 110
Build: Beautifully slender.
Hair: It looks like a pretty brown normally, but if you look closely, you can see hints of red; in just the right lighting, it definitely looks reddish.
Eyes: Bright blue, with a hint of sea green. When they look sea green, it most likely means I’m lost in thought, and you can sometimes see the sadness of the world in their sea-green-ness.
Nationality: I’m about three-fourths French, one-fourth Italian, and half-Spanish. (My father was French, and my mother was mostly Spanish with an Italian grandmother, so I speak all three languages fluently with absolutely no accent, and I also speak a little English, though I suppose I’m not really fluent in it or anything, and I must have such a French accent).
Job: Hopefully soon-to-be dancer, or even better, one of the leads at the Opera Populaire.
Personality: I’m friendly, and very likeable. I also have a lot of determination, and hate to give up on anything. Still, I am easily crushed when one of my dreams suddenly seems impossible. Some people say I’m too obsessed with all the obstacles that get in the way of my dreams, and that I spend too much time ‘moping’ over it, but my real friends never say that. They say I’m perfectly justified in it, and I really don’t do it all that much anyway.
Life Story (as much as you want us to know): I grew up in France in a small house in Paris. I would often go to the Opera Populaire and look at it, dreaming of someday being its lead singer. But tragedy struck, and when I was finally gaining my ‘grown up’ voice, I discovered that I was an alto! At first, I despaired ever having the chance to sing the leads, but I quickly became determined and began to practice singing more than ever. I gained a lot of range, but it’s still not nearly high enough to sing soprano.
Also, I studied ballet and other kinds of dancing for my whole life, as well as everything else I thought I could possibly ever need as an opera singer, including mastering quite a few instruments. Everyone says I’m the best in all of it, but I don’t know if it even matters. After all, I’m still an alto! I finally decided to try out at the Opera Populaire anyway. Maybe I could be part of the chorus... or maybe, I’ve heard a lot of minor roles are alto...
