"Excellent."
*Dicing up some of the bacon, Jeremy continues fixing the other dishes.*
"So what brought you to Paris? London must not be doing so hot right now... lots of people running off to France lately."

Angelique coughed and sputtered for a moment, a piece of food stuck in her throat, she grabbed her glass and gulped down some water pushing the food down. "I-I came here a couples years ago, I guess I wanted a change of scenery."
Like you remember getting here Angelique's face went pale You thought I was gone didn't you? Ahaha, please

*Jeremy set his chef's knife on the cutting board, a concerned look flashing across his face.*
"You alright Miss? Something wrong?"
*Pouring another glass of water in case she needed it Jeremy set it down before her.*

"I-I-I-I'm fine" she stumbled "just got a little dizzy, that's all, thank you" she wrung her hands together before giving a tired smile.

"Food too rich? Or catch some of the cayenne?"
*Jeremy eyed his cooking suspiciously. He had "damaged" his friends accidentally with his spices before.*
"You alright now?"

((WARNING: Some non bleeped out strong language))
"No, no neither, just a little dizzy that's all, it happens from time to time." She sipped on the water and looked down sadly.
What's wrong Angel? Look I told you I'd be back, why so surprised?
Shut up! Just shut up! Please not now, just allow me this one week of peace, please!
Fuck you! You let that psycho bitch take me out and then shove me back in! Why should I let you have a week of peace! You've kept me in here our whole life!
SHUT UP!
And it was quiet.
"I'm sorry to have worried you monsieur."

*Jeremy raised an eyebrow but continued his work on the food. He smiled at the young woman sympathetically. Something was wrong but he wasn't the type to pry.*
"Food's almost done. And we'll see about getting you something sweet after you're done."
*He started plating the fish and it's sides, including a hunk of buttered corn bread on the side. Sliding it across the counter towards her Jeremy winked.*
"There you are."

Angelique smiled softly and began eating the food, slowly at first, but suddenly she was overcome with this urge to not stop. "Oh my god... oh" she mumbled with a mouth full of food "youf aresh amashin" she cut a piece of fish and smiled making yummy sounds as she bit in to it.

*Jeremy chuckled and motioned towards his tank top, blue jeans and cowboy boots, still dirty from the construction in the next room.*
"Thanks... I might not look it but I generally try to enjoy life to the fullest, food especially. And now I get to share that joy with every pretty lady that walks into the place."
*Jeremy winks and pours a glass of sweet white wine before setting it before her.*

Smiling she swallowed the food and took a sip of the wine "It's amazing that I've never heard of this place before! I mean you would think a place with food like this would be in the papers."

*Jeremy shrugs, pouring thick chocolate syrup into a mixing bowl with a grin.*
"Word of mouth and walk ins do me well enough thus far. The big problem is I tend to have a poor work ethic, even doing something I enjoy like cooking. So the little bit of business that trickles in fits my style just fine. I get to cook and talk and possibly make new friends."
*Adding in some milk, sugar and a few other ingredients Jeremy starts mixing by hand.*

"I guess the atmosphere of the place would be ruined by gobs of people" she smiled and continued to eat. Her mind wandered to the Blakeney boys they had gone off to college and yet she was still allowed to stay there. "I really must find a new place" she said softly before placing the last big of fish in to her mouth.

*Jeremy cocked his head to the side and raised an eyebrow.*
"Something wrong with the place you're sitting?"
*Pouring the mixture into a flat low sided pan he slides said pan into the oven. It's contents are deep brown.*

"Oh" she laughed "no I mean, where I am staying, living I mean" she looked up at Jeremy sadly "it's a long story, but I hurt myself and a man found me in a park here in Paris and demanded that I stay with him until I felt better, well less than demanded, you understand right?" She shook her head.
"Little did I know that he was the son of Sir Percy Blakeney and I'd be staying at the estate. Now he and his brother are off to college and I am still living there, my apartment has been put up for rent and I feel as though I'm becoming a burden for the Blakeney household."
You're a burden to everyone, get used to it.
Cringing she blushed "Oh here I am dispelling all my issues on you, I'm sorry."

*Jeremy smiled and passed her the mixing spoon which was covered in brownie batter.*
"No worries. I'm kinda like a bartender that way. Though I've discovered a restaurant serving comfort food and a few chocolaty desserts does better around here than any bar ever could. Go figure huh?"
*He shrugged and winked.*
"Have you tried contacting Mr. Brother of the Son of Sir Percy Blakeney? See what he has to say about it?"
