"Oh, now, I bet you're quite interesting. He said you were a musician. Surely that warrants attention?"
*The smile on her face widened when Johanna reached out a tiny hand and grabbed Thérèse's sleeve*
"What is it, dearest?"

**AIMEE**
"She probably wants you to pick her up." *Aimee said.*

"I would be happy to oblige."
*With a look of incredible happiness on her face, Thérèse picked up the little girl, settling her easily in her arms.*
"You know how happy this makes me, Johanna?" She said, tickling the baby's cheek.

*Johanna wasn't sure why, but she decided she liked this lady. And promptly rewarded her by giggling and hugging her. Aimee smiled at her daughter.*
"I wasn't sure what you wanted to be called, so I couldn't teach them anything... my mother wants to be called 'Mimi,' you see, and I just didn't know... some people don't like being called "Grandmama..."" *She trailed off.*

*Laughing, she hugged Johanna back as she addressed Aimee*
"Oh, well, I wouldn't mind being called Nana. That's what I called my own grandmother."

*Aimee smiled and nodded.*
"Can you say 'Nana,' Jo-bean?" *She asked her daughter.*
"Nana!" *Cried Johanna jubilantly, pointing at Therese.*

*She kissed her granddaughter's forehead*

*Marius walked up just then, carrying Alain*
"Maman, Aimee, you let a little monkey almost escape."

*Aimee leaned in to kiss his cheek and Alain's forehead.*
"No danger of monkey escaping. I was watching." *She said, smiling a little at him.* "We were just deciding what Alain and Johanna should call your mother."

"Oh?"
*Alain wiggled in Marius' arms, trying to see the new lady that had was with them.
Thérèse walked up with a smile*
"Can you say 'Nana', Alain?"
*Alain wore a look, as though he were thinking quite seroiusly, and said: *
"Nana."

*Alain turned toward his father thoughtfully. Marius waited, his expression hopeful. Finally, after some time, Alain spoke* "Papa!" He crowed. *Marius smiled, relief plain on his face* "Yes. Papa. "

((Please excuse me while I try to keep the epileptic fits of 'AWWWW' to a minimum))
"Very good, monkey." *Aimee said, smiling widely and kissing her son on the forehead again. She turned her eyes up to Marius, wearing a face that would have been a smirk on anybody but Aimee. On Aimee, it was more an adorable, proud smile.*
"I told you he'd come around."

((Family cuteness!))
"I'm glad he did."
"Oh, my poor dear." Thérèse said. "It didn't occur to me that you might have been away long enough that they might not remember you."
*A situation not too dissimilar to something that had happened with Marius and his father, though Thérèse didn't mention it. She quite prudently knew that mention of her husband would bring down everyone's emotions*
