*She sighed, her eyes searching his face*
"Fine... But please, if anything goes wrong at all, stop. I don't care. Getting you hurt would be worse than anything else."

*Julian nodded, focusing hard and caressing her nose. It slowly started to grow, but there was a sharp slashing pain at his back and he fell forward, knocking her back. He looked up, panting.*
"I...I'm sorry, princess. It's...just too far."

*She gasped, the wind knocked out of her. Terrified, she attempted to support him.*
"I told you not to," *she exclaimed, worry and fear evident in her eyes and voice.*

*Julian grumbled, trying not to pull away from her in frustration.*
"I know. I know."
*He shifted sitting on the ground.*
"I'm sorry, princess. I only wanted you to be happy."

"I'd be happier if you wouldn't keep trying to kill yourself like that," *she said, upset.*
"Are you okay?"

*He frowned deeper, but kept his mouth shut. He nodded, releasing a heavy sigh.*
"I just don't know how to help. I seem to be unable in many situations at the moment."

*She took his large hands in her slim, pale ones.*
"You help just by being here," *she said, shaking her head.* "I don't have to be one of them, Julian."

*Julian couldn't help but smile at that. In the end, she was his sister. And if she was one of them, maybe she wouldn't be anymore. But now she was saying that it wasn't necessary. He smile and helped them both to their feet.*
"Then perhaps you can show me the sea? I have not seen it..."
*His eyes darkened at the vague memory of a violin and skulls.*
"...in a very long time."

*She smiled, though a bit curiously, never quite sure what he was thinking.*
"Oh, sure. This way.*
*She started down the path to the cliffs. When they left the cover of trees, the view of the sea was unexpected and breathtaking.*

*Julian walked silently behind her, his back aching. But when they got there, just the sight of it was enough to drop him to his knees. It was so vast, unending. He simply knelt there and stared. It was magnificent....and terrifying. It was all that the cellars of the Opera were not, but he was still mesmerized.*

*Her brow furrowed at his reaction. Confused and a little worried, she knelt beside him.*
"Julian?" *she asked, her voice tiny.*

*The sea. That was what Erik saw when his eyes opened again. But it wasn't any place he'd seen before. The coast was rocky, the points softened by the mist that hung heavily over the water.
But Erik didn't notice any of that.*
Julian?

Mother?
*Julian was broken from his trace with a start. He looked around, but saw only Pina. He quirked his head.*
"I'm sorry, what were you saying?"
Perhaps I am lonely, so far from him.

*She tilted her head, looking at him with earnest concern.*
"Are you alright?"

*Julian smiled at her and shook his head.*
"It's nothing. I just thought I..."
*He brushed away the thought.*
"It's of no matter."
