"Oh yes, yes, one must be very careful with what they put in their mouth. A small bit of sausage in the wrong part of your throat could cause a coughing fit." Being himself it took him a moment to realize what he had just said... but he was taking it back.
((Hehe))

((Oh my goodness.))
Vienna coughed delicately. "Indeed."
More cutting. More chewing. More boredom.
She set down her silverware very suddenly. "Well, I think I'm ready for desert."

He gave a laugh, he knew the silence was killing her, it was fun, playing her game, he might have to do it more often. "Oh yes! Desert! Delightful!"

Looking dreadfully thoughtful he leaned in "Something with a little sugar and a lotta spice."

Vienna leaned in as well, maybe a little too excitedly. "Something hot?"

"Oh yes! Like Spice cake!" He laughed and leaned back, if he knew what a "shit eaten grin" was, he would have had one.

Vienna's smile never faltered. "You know, I think I actually do have some leftover spice cake..."
She disappeared into the kitchen, easily locating half a spice cake in a cupboard. Thinking quickly, she trotted down into the wine cellar and brought up two bottles of the most potent stuff she had. She gathered it all up in her arms and took it back out into the dining room.
"Why don't we have desert in the parlor? We'd be so much more comfortable..."

"Delightful!" He stood up quickly and relieved her just as swiftly of the two bottles of wine.

Vienna led the way back out to the parlor, setting the spice cake down on a table and adding a log to the fire before taking her seat on the chaise lounge. She kicked off her shoes and hiked up her dress just a bit, in order to pull her legs up onto the seat without getting them twisted in the heavy fabric.
She leaned over and sliced off two pieces of cake with the knife I never mentioned before, plopping them both onto the plates I forgot to mention also. She leaned back and poked at hers (with a fork that was also there) thoughtfully.

Wolfgang took a peice and... well wolfed it down before popping the top of one of the bottles and taking a swig. He really didn't care if it offended her or not.

Vienna grimmaced. She'd never been a big fan of old-fashioned social rules and so she wasn't offended, but that didn't change the fact that there was very little that was attractive about what Wolfie had just done. Her desire for sex lessened considerably. Still, at least he was drinking the wine.
"I take it you like the wine?" she asked as she leaned over and poured a glass for herself from the second bottle.

If she wants it enough, she'll deal
"Oh yes, it's delicious" he checked the year and nodded approvingly "Good year." He took another swig before pouring himself a glass. "So Vienna, what have you been doing with yourself?"

"I designed the costumes for Rigoletto, La traviata, Carmen, Faust, Il barbiere di Siviglia..." she listed blithely, looking distractedly into her wine glass. She turned to look at him. "I did Die Zauberflöte and Don Giovanni in Vienna, you know." She felt that familiar thrill in the pit of her stomach when she remembered what a marvellous composer he was. She would never tell him how brilliant she found his music, of course, but she admitted it to herself from time to time.

((She has a little Salieri in her no?))
"Amazing! I'm happy that you found work." He gulped down the glass and poured another. Within minutes the boy was pink as piglet.
"You know Vienna, I'm suprised you haven't settled down, found yourself a nice man, or women whatever" he knew she would never do such a thing, he found it fun to watch her react.
