*Micaela stormed into the kitchen and raided the icebox and cabinets. She found a suitable pot and began furiously chopping meat into bits and baking them into pies.*
*She laid out all her ingredients on the chopping board and began vehemently throwing them into the simmering pot, glaring at it and paying no mind eo the angry tears running down her face.*

*Mrs. Danvers appeared in the kitchen silently, and watched Micaela for a moment, a cruelly amused smile on her face.*
"Are the cooks not sufficiently doing their jobs, Madam, that you need to prepare a meal when everyone is asleep?"

*She wheeled on Mrs. Danvers, eyes red and puffy, not willing to deal with her shit right now.*
"Evidently when your former mistress's mind was troubled, she went sailing. I cook." *She snapped, turning back to the food.*

*She nodded dismissively, making it quite clear that she wanted Mrs. Danvers to go.*
Does that woman ever sleep? I mean seriously, what does she do? Spend all of her time lurking?

*Mrs. Danvers glided out of the room, stealing a smirking glance at Micaela. It seemed that she'd hardly needed to torment the girl at all- she was perfectly capable of getting herself banished from Manderley on her own.*

*She threw all of her attention into the stew.*
