Yes, she's a very generous person. *They had reached The Chestnut Tree of Tea.*

*He put one large hand on the tree, looking up into the foliage.* "It's a beautiful tree. Old, too." *He remarked absently, moving off again towards the pastures.*

Beautiful... *She looked over at him.* Wait, where are you going?

((D'oh! Wrong word... -____-. Meant pastures.))
"To the pastures." *He said, looking at her curiously.*

Why? The horses can play for a little while longer. *She wanted him to stay for tea, though she didn't know quite why. Well, she liked the way he smiled at her, and how his eyes twinkled when he laughed...and it would be nice to have a...friend.*

*He smiled, eyes twinkling.*
"If you'd prefer. It must be about teatime."

I believe it is. *Scarlett glanced around for Micaela, not wanting to meet his eyes. She had a terrible feeling she might blush, and that would just be embarrassingly girly and awkward.*

*He continued to look at her intensely, trying to catch her eye. It was then that Micaela came bounding out with a blanket, and spread it under the chestnut tree.*
"So, you two been entertaining yourselves?" *She asked, sitting down on it with a graceful plop.* "Robert's going to be out any moment with the tea."

((Micaela, u iz so talented. I haz yet to learn how 2 plop gracefully. ;D ))
*She sat down next to her godmother quickly, grateful for the extra company and the opportunity to lower her center of balance. It was rather warm- maybe that's why she was so dizzy.* Oh, of course, we were just talking about...stuff.

((Ah knoes, ah knoes. Be jallus.))
*Micaela laughed.* "Stuff? Now that's intriguing."
*Michael sat down a little awkwardly, next to Scarlett.* "We mostly talked about horses." *He explained.*
"Ah!" *She said, eyes twinkling.* "That makes a little more sense. I knew inviting Scarlett up here was my best idea yet."

*She laughed, trying to ignore the strange, almost magnetic pull towards Michael.* I don't know about that, I think those horses would have to be your best idea.

*She laughed freely.*
"Well, I couldn't have gotten them here without some help." *She said, nodding towards Michael.* "My family's odd about entrusting their horses to strangers; I'm no exception."
*He smiled sheepishly at her words.*

*She managed to smile at them both, but when she caught Michael's eye found herself with very little to say.* Well, they're- they're spectacular, and they've obviously been well-raised and very well cared for.

*Micaela smirked as they caught eachother's eyes, as Michael reddened in response to her words, and as they found themselves speechless. God how she remembered that feeling.*
*Robert served the tea then, saving a lot of awkward. There was tons upon tons of food; scones, petit-fours and all manner of pastries, as well as a ton of different teas. Michael set into preparing his expertly, quite glad of the distraction. Micaela also prepared hers with an experienced hand, and wondered whether Scarlett, being French-American, knew how to prepare tea that didn't come in a bag.*

*Scarlett stared at it all.* Um...wow... *She turned her attention to the actual tea and then glanced up at her godmother.* Um...
