((This is so totally in Katie and Fitz's apartment, btw. ;D ))
*Katie was waiting for Fitz to come from work, while she tried frantically to get the home situation under control. The apartment was an absolute wreck. Clothes and various baby supplies were everywhere, books and papers were torn and strewn across tables, and food in various states of preparation was all over the kitchen. Katie matched the apartment, her dress covered in stains and her hair falling all over her face as she tried to cook, clean, and get Scarlett to stop crying at the same time. She finally gave up cleaning and focused on stirring the pot and trying not to drop Scarlett into it. Then Penn, Fabian, and Teddy began screaming at the same moment. Katie accidentally hit the pot with her free hand as she whirled around, burning her hand badly. She cursed under her breath and turned off the magically modern stove and headed for the babies. She held two in each arm as she struggled to calm them down, still muttering curses under her breath. There was no way that the apartment would be even passably clean today, and dinner would certainly not be on the table at its normal time.* If Fitz says one word about this happening again... *She rolled her eyes and focused on the babies.*

Fitz walked in with his brief case full of tests and essays to grade. He'd been teaching at an expensive boarding school, and many of the boys who attended were so sure that their mummies and daddies would be taking care of them, they didn't feel any need to learn. He sighed and sat down at the kitchen counter.
"Hello, Katie. How's dinner coming?" he asked.

*She whipped her head around, fixing him with hte most furious and terrifying glare ever.* There you are. You're late. I've been trying to cook AND watch the babies AND clean this apartment, since you appear to believe that I have enough time to clean up after your slovenly self every day as well as take care of not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 babies. Scarlett has a little cold, so I had to take her to the doctor and get her checked out, and it was packed with people and took forever, and I think the other babies are getting colds too, and they've been screaming all day. I have been unbelievably busy. So you want dinner? Go make it yourself! *She turned back to the babies.*

He rolled his eyes once her back was turned and went to help quiet down the babies. Why was she so moody and difficult, lately?

Here. *She handed off all four of the babies and stalked off to the kitchen.* You get them to hush, I'll make dinner.

He sighed. He didn't like fighting with her, and what was the point? He rocked the twins gently back and forth. "Shhhh, it's okay," he cooed, wishing desperately that they would all just shut up.

*She stormed around in the kitchen as she made dinner, absolutely furious at him for daring to mention dinner. Some rational part of her mind kept saying that she was blowing it way out of proportion because she was exhausted, but she ignored it. She finally set the food on the table and walked back out to where Fitz was, scowling slightly to see the babies still crying.* Dinner's ready. *She took the babies and began to rock them, looking beyond exhausted as they finally settled down.*

((In the chat! ;D))
He took one of the babies from her. "Let me help you first," he said comfortingly.

*She glanced up at him, her eyes full of tears of exhaustion and frustration. She looked back down again quickly, trying not to show how upset she was.*

He set the babies down in their crib and put his arms around Katie. "I know, this is hard. But it will be easier when they get older, and for now we can either hire some help or get a friend to do it. You don't need to do this alone."

*She wanted to absolutely break down and sob about how difficult it was, but she couldn't let herself do it. Fitz hadn't complained, and he was working- and she was not weak enough to act like this. So she conjured up a smile and looked up at him.* It's fine, I can do it. It's...um...it's no big deal.

He stared at her dubiously. "Katie, we have four babies. I can't be here to help you during the day because I have to work, and you can't take care of that many babies on your own."

*She bit her lip to keep it from trembling, holding up her smile and staying on her feet by pure willpower and stubborness.* It's fine.

He smiled sadly at her. "Stop trying to be so independent. Nobody thinks you're weak—especially not me."
