*Several days after Hallie came to stay, a smooth, white vellum envelope sealed with wax and stamped with a coat of arms arrived. Across the front was written only Hallie's first name, done in beautiful calligraphy. Inside, on nice paper and in the same writing style, was the following: *
Greetings,
You do not know me, but I have heard of you. I wish to express my deepest sympathies for your recent troubles, and would like to extend to you an invitation to my estate. The castle, as I am sure you have noticed, is a recent addition to Paris. Please feel free to come by at any time of the evening--I can be found there usually. Perhaps, I can help lift your spirits.
Sincerely, Graf von Krolock

Hallie found the note and read it. She noticed the signature and read it again.
"Oh hell no," she muttered, thankful that she was staying with an angel.
