"That's reasonable."
*She quickly dug through her purse, and then brought out the money needed--not surprisingly, exact change*

(( )) "Thank you. Take care of that book- there aren't many autographed copies of that book floating around."

*Sarah held it as though she held the Holy Grail in her hands. Which, to a fantasy nut like her, it practically was*
"This is...one of the greatest thing I'll ever have. I won't ever let it come to harm."
*So she said, with all the conviction of a librarian*

*He smiled fondly at her. It seemed the girl was a kindred spirit, of sorts. Well, as much as a human can be with a divine being.*

*She grinned awkwardly at him, then realized that they'd been standing around in silence for several moments.* "Er...well. I thank you very, very much, for this book. I will cherish it always." *Still grinning, she started to back out of the bookstore, then realized that this could be disastrous, and instead turned around and walked forwards from the store*

"I hope you enjoy it- come back any time," *he said with a wave as she left. That was nice, he thought when she was gone. Something to distract him from the events in the back room... which he'd just reminded himself of again.*

**NEW DAY, ABOUT LUNCHTIME**
Crowley waltzed into the shop and found Aziraphale in the back room. "Angel, there's a bloody Ritz in Paris. Want to go check it out?" he asked.

**IS TOTALLY MORE ANGELIC THAN THIS. AND MALE**
*Aziraphale looked up, almost warily. He reminded himself to smile, and pretend nothing out of the ordinary had every happened. An angel and a demon even considering going out to lunch together was far from ordinary, but he chose to ignore this fact.*
"Oh really? I suppose we must 'check it out,' as you say."

He grinned. "Bet it's not as good as our place in London."
Aziraphale still seemed uncomfortable. Why? Crowley had apologized, hadn't he? It wasn't as if he'd done anything lately. He had figured that it might be a comfort to go to a familiar restaurant that they both enjoyed.

**AZ**
*He smiled.* "They'll certainly have to try very hard to keep up with the standards. Now, whose turn is it to pay?"

He thought about it. "Mine, I think. And I get to choose the wine."

"I'll follow you."
