*Like most grand buildings in Paris these days, the great, gothic edifice that was the Castle von Krolock simply appeared out of nowhere on the fringes of the city. It even came with it's own little mountainside, so that it may stand perched above the other buildings and loom over them like a brooding lord looking out over his land. The effect was somewhat lessened by the fact that, seen off across the city, was Castle Dracula doing the same exact thing.
Nonetheless, there was a new castle, and with it had come another vampire lord...*

*From her own garden, the witch looked up suddenly, and raised an eyebrow. That ridiculously gothic castle certainly hadn't been there before. It looked rather familiar, for some reason... She realized why with a smirk and a short laugh.*
Krolock.
*So, he'd gone through with the vampire plan after all. With a condecending smirk, she headed up to the castle, and knocked on the door.*

*After the castle had first appeared in Paris, Krolock had taken stock of the situation and discovered that all of his vampire followers had vanished, along with the few human servants he'd kept on retainer. This meant that there was nobody to keep up the castle, and nobody to speak with. He'd been extremely bored and wandering the castle when the knock came, and when he answered the door found to his complete surprise that it was someone he knew*
"I...don't believe it. It's been so long..."
*And the circumstances far different*
"Though, I should not doubt that you have a long lifespan yourself."

*She looked around the front room with a judgemental air.*
"You've really let this place go since last time. I take it it didn't work," *she said matter of factly.*

*He frowned at her comment on the castle, but showed no other outward sign that her words had bothered him*
"No...it didn't work."

"I told you it was an idiotic plan," *she said. Her tone was condecending, but there was something that could have been sympathy in her voice.*

*He sighed*
"I had to do something, madame. Anything."
*It was an old pain, and one that had faded, though it was still there. Perhaps it always would be*

"Humans," *she said with a sigh.* "Never want to give up a lost cause."

"No, indeed."
*He gestured toward the castle's interior*
"Why don't you come in? You shouldn't have to carry on a conversation in someone's doorway."

((Oh, I know. She's beyond hot.))
*She followed him in, looking around.*
"Thanks. The place hasn't changed much."

*He shrugged amiably*
"The atmosphere seems to attract a certain type of person...or vampire."
*There was a faint smile on his lips as he said it*

"You always did go for the dark dreary look. I don't see the purose- even for a vampire.

*He chuckled, the sound rather melodious*
"It is perfect atmosphere, madame. Humans seem to adore this sort of thing."
