"She'll grow up fast enough..." *he said quietly, absently rubbing Aimee's back.*

*Eponine smiled and stroked Aimee's little head again, careful of the soft spot where her skull hadn't quite fused yet.*
"I'm not sure I want her to." *She said quietly.* "She's perfect the way she is."

((Personal note of interest--my skull never fused properly. I've a dent in the back of my head.))
*Marius looked up at Eponine, meeting her gaze.*
"People change..."

*Eponine looked at him confusedly. What was that supposed to mean?*
*She supposed he was talking about Cosette, and tried not to touch on the subject. She noticed that his teacup was empty, as was hers.*
"Do you want another cup of tea?" *She asked."

"Hm? Oh, if you wouldn't mind...that would be lovely."

*She picked up his cup and hers and went to refill them in the kitchen.*
"Thank you for the flowers... you really didn't have to." *She blushed. Nobody had really ever brought her flowers.*

"I remember you sometimes stopped to look at the tulips at the flower-stands...they seemed cheery." And not an overly romantic flower.

*She smiled.* "Yes, I always liked tulips best. They weren't as pretty as the roses, but they were pretty in their own way." *Then she looked at him, grinning.* "I don't think I've ever really seen a stuffed bear quite that large before. Interesting that he's quite a bit larger than my daugher, possibly larger than me."

"Er...sorry." *He flushed.* "I could get her a smaller one, if you'd prefer..."

*She laughed, putting a hand on his shoulder.*
"It's fine. I've grown quite fond of him already, and I'm sure Aimee will be very attached to him when she gets older. It wouldn't do for you to take him away now."

"Alright then...so long as you like him..."

*She smiled.*
"I think he's my new favorite babysitter--he's perfectly capable of holding her until she can sit herself up. Not only do I like him, he'll be useful."
*Aimee, however, was quite obviously having a baby dream, as she was emitting little baby noises every once in a while and kicking her legs. It didn't seem to be too good of a dream.*

*Marius cuddled Aimee hesitantly.*
"Is she alright? Is that normal? Should we get a doctor?"

*Eponine smiled. He would have made a good father to Cosette's baby.*
"No, she's just having a dream. I usually hum to her when she does that, even though I'm not much good. I think she likes the vibrations."

*Marius cleared his throat.*
"Er...should I?"
*After a moment he began to hum the first song that popped into his head.*
A heart full of love A heart full of song...
