*Aimee grabbed fistfuls of Marius's hair, giggling, and Eponine heard the low whistle of the teapot she had put on before Marius had gotten there.*
"Do you want some tea?" *She asked him, even though he seemed quite content playing with Aimee.*

"Only if you're having some as well," *he said lightly.* "I don't want to put you to any trouble." *he sat beside the bear on the couch and swooped Aimee up into the air.*

*Eponine laughed while pouring two cups. She returned and then said:*
"Normally I have tea when Aimee takes her nap, but she seems quite content to beat you up. We don't have to worry until she starts fussing. Milk and Sugar, right?"

"Please and thank you. And she seems fine...only..."
*Marius jiggled the baby slightly.*
"...she just went really still...is that normal?"
*he twisted his neck a little only to realize that Aimee had fallen fast asleep against his shoulder.*
"Oh, well, alright."

*Eponine smiled at Aimee.*
"She has an incredible talent for falling asleep on people and then waking up when we try to put her in her crib. It seems she's deemed you fit to be her latest pillow."
*She set the tea in front of Marius and sat down on the couch next to him.*

"I've been worse things than a pillow..." *he said amicably. He reached for his tea with one hand and took a sip, falling into a warm silence for a moment.*

"You mean like a doormat?"
*Eponine smiled into her tea. This was the happiest she'd been in a while.*
"If I try to put her in her crib now, you'll wish you still were a pillow. She screams much louder than she laughs. I hope you're alright with sitting there while she naps."

"It's fine...so long as she's comfortable." *Without thinking, he nuzzled the baby's soft little head.* "She smells nice. For a baby."

*Eponine laughed softly.*
"Babies always smell good, as long as they're clean. Like baby soap." *She said, reaching out to stroke the back of Aimee's head absentmindedly.*

"Not soap...like...something fresher...innocence and My Little Ponies...sweeter."

*Eponine smiled.*
"It's just baby smell. Nothing's quite the same. Gavroche smelled the same way, when he was a baby." *She said, patting Aimee's back before taking a sip of tea.* "But she smells cleaner. I think it's because she's a girl."
((I'm assuming we're working off of some type of bastardized Hugo/Musicalverse, so Gavroche has been re-made Eponine's brother. But Azelma doesn't exist.))

((Oh...'kay...))
"And girls are cleaner by nature?" *he asked.* "I recall a certain young girl who had a knack for falling into rubbish heaps on a regular basis..." *he said dryly, raising an eyebrow at Eponine.*

*Eponine attempted to glare at him but failed miserably.*
"The piles found me. I've said it from the beginning. Besides, the circumstances are ever-so-slightly different."

*Marius chuckled.*
"I don't see how."

*She kept trying to glare at him, still failing.*
"The rubbish piles still found me. And I thought we were talking about babies. A month-old baby can't really walk around finding rubbish piles. She's just easier to clean."
