((I was trying to think of a vaugely innocent reason for Jonathan to be here...))
*Crane had narrowly escaped a run-in with a costumed vigilante psycho (anyone who dresses up as a bat clearly has issues). Now that the coast was clear, he should be going off to establish an alabi for himself, and he would have been, if he hadn't caught sight of a room filled with books through Sylvia's window*
I don't have time for this...
*Within seconds he was inside, looking at a copy of Tales of Mystery and Imagination.*
((To be fair, this would be exactly my reaction.))

*walks in*
"Oh, I'm sorry--I didn't think anyone..."
*squints*
"Dr. Crane?"

*Assumes it's Sylvia and closes the book quickley*
"I'm sorry to be using your library, but the door was unlocked, and-"
*Looks up*
"Miss Sinclare?"

*Virginia's cheeks flushed.* "I--I didn't expect..." What can I say to make this appropriate? Nothing, that's what.

"It's alright. I don't cast judgements."
*Is made a bit nervous by the Attack of the Killer Cleavage*

"Oh! There's nothing to judge, I'm not--um. I'm visiting. A friend. I'm not here for...anything. I needed help. With something. Not...um..."
*crosses her arms*

"Of course. I didn't think you were here for anything less than legitimate reasons."

*Sylvia had finally caught up with Virginia, peeking her head into the library and slipping in unnoticed. She smiled and lowered her face coyly before approaching Virginia. Her voice was soft and light.*
“Oh Virginia, I’m so glad I caught up with you. I am sorry I disappeared like that.”
*She peered up to Crane through a veil of dark lashes.*
“Good evening, sir. I hope that you are finding the library satisfactory. Were you looking for something in particular that I could help you find?”

*Virginia leapt on the distraction and used the chance to slip out of the library.*

"Yes, thank you."
*Crane faced the lovely courtesan, aware of the fact that he was blushing. He had seen pretty girls before, but had somehow never quite gotten used to them.*
"Miss Sylvia, I mean, I'm sorry to have entered without your permission."

*Sylvia lowered her head coyly, avoiding his eyes. He seemed nervous enough as it was.*
“My dear Doctor, you always have my permission. I am happy to stimulate you in every way. If it’s books you fancy…”
*She stepped close to him, their bodies nearly touching. Her face still lowered, her voice was low and inviting.*
“…I would never deny you.”
*She sighed gently, her bosom rising softly over the neckline of her dress.*
“Did you see anything that you were interested in? If you’ll tell me what you are looking for, I am certain I can help you find it.”

((Btw, did Syd PM Lecter about our Ingenious Plane From Hell?))
*Coughs and adjusts his glasses*
"Well, from a purely psychological point of view, I am curious as to how you managed to destroy Miss Sinclare's principles. Not that that's a bad thing."
