*Marius walked into the main room of the cozy inn, tired, but still alert.*
"Hello?"

*Brandi entered the room with a warm smile.*
"Good evening ((I assume?)), sir. Can I help you? Do you need a room? Something to eat?"

*Marius smiled weakly.*
"Hello, Mademoiselle. I should like to rent one of your rooms--if that's alright."

*Brandi nodded, her smile inexhaustible.*
"Of course that's all right. How long will you be staying, sir?"

"Er..."
*He bit his lip, thinking about Eponine.*
She needs me.
"I'm not certain. A while, most likely. I can pay you in advance, if you'd like. I'm actually kinda rich--er. Than anyone else in my canon."

"Oh no, that won't be necessary. I just wanted to make sure that I stocked up on enough food and all."
*Brandi gestured him further in, offering to take his bag ((should he have one.)) She offered her hand also.*
"I'm Brandi. Please, if there's anything you need, just let me know."
"Her dimples dig deeply into her cheeks.*

*Marius he reached out and shook her hand.*
"Thank you Mademoiselle Brandi--I am Marius Pontmercy. Oh, it's quite alright--I can take it. There's not much to it," *he said, gesturing to his rucksack with a change of clothes and any other necessaries in it on his shoulder.* "Thank you very much."

((All things considered, being richer than anybody in your canon doesn't say much. Considering we're all destitute and dying. Valjean was like middle class. That's how I took it when I reda the book, anyway.
This is where i shoot Brandi my deathglare.))

*Brandi nodded and turned to grab a key for him.*
"This way."
*She led him up the stairs to his room and turned back to him.*
"Would you like any supper? I could fix something up."

((Well, my grandpa was rich-ish. I never wanted for anything, growing up.))
"That would be lovely, thank you."
Food might sober me up a little...then sleep.

((Silly spoiled revolutionary. Then again, I grew up with dollies and dresses and little blue hats. So I shouldn't be talking. Before I lost the Inn, at least.))

((*facepalm*
"Is it simply a game for rich young boys to play?"
I'm assuming that means the revos are uni-educated young bucks with nothing else to do. Like find gainful employment.))

((Oh those revolutionaries... here they come slumming once again...
And apparently I'd lick your feet, because I don't have a scrap of brain, according to my wonderful mommy.
Who needs gainful employment? It's a revolution!))
