Richard had a disturbing thought of seizing her by the shoulders and shaking her until she fell unconscious, and was so horrified by this that he had to turn away from her.
"It's not just my pride. If this only affected me, I seriously doubt I would... react... as I did. But it affects my whole family, Faye- my wife, my children... Do you know why the Viceroy at the time didn't intercede on Kathryn's behalf when she was condemned? Because he assumed she had inherited her 'despicable morals' from her father. If That Man hadn't written That Play, Kathryn might still be with us and not rotting away in the bowels of Hell."

"And what did I do?" *she hurled back.* "I led a good life, I had no real unfinished business. WHY AM I STILL HERE? I'd be better off in Hell than this uncertainty, and something tells me I'm not the only soul who has issues with their afterlife! What makes you think you deserve pity when the rest of us get none? Because you're a king?" *she almost spat the word out.* "Well let me tell you something--on Earth you were a king! In death, you're just an ASS!"

Richard actually flinched. He couldn't bring himself to look at her.
"Faye, I-"

"No."
*She was eerily quiet now, which was somehow more frightening than her rage.*
"Don't you dare. I'm not the one you need to apologize to. Goodnight, Richard," *she said flatly, turning and going up the stairs to her room.*

Richard stood there in silence for a long time before venturing up the stairs.
"Faye?"

"FAYE!?"

Oh just give it a rest, you arrogant blowhard.
*She floated out through the window and up onto the roof to sit, hugging her knees, to watch the stars appear as the storm clouds blew away.*

Richard sank against the wall, staring into space. He wondered what Anne was doing right now, if she was thinking of him, how she'd react if she'd witnessed the incident with Shakespeare. His portrayal of her left a lot to be desired in its own right...
No. No. There he went again, dwelling on that old grudge. So Shakespeare had written a play. So? So...
So Katherine was gone.

Why am I even here? Brandi's got things under control...and ghosts don't need a place to stay, not really.
*Faye got off the roof and began to walk down a street she hadn't gone near since before her death.*
What else is there?

**NEW NIGHT**
*The professor had disappeared off somewhere for the day, and the sun had come up and he wasn't back yet. After dark, timidly, as if he were afraid that he would be caught and reprimanded, he made his way down to the common area.*

*Susan looked up from her book and gave the boy a nod in greeting.*

*He turned around to see if she was greeting someone else, but when he didn't see anyone behind him, he smiled at her sheepishly.*

*Ordinarily, Susan would have left things at that and ignored everyone else. But on an unfamiliar world, even she could get lonely.*
"Are you new here?"
