Sydney rang the door bell to Irene's home with the case file in one hand.

*Irene came down to greet her*
"Hey, come on in. I've got some stuff to show you."
*Looks at the file*
"I guess you do, too."

Sydney stepped inside and took off her coat. "You have no idea what I had to do to get your address: had to break that fat red-head detective's nose. If anyone asks what happened to him, just deny that you know me."
Sydney sighed, "Don't tell we've got more than one serial killer roaming the streets."

*Nods*
"Mass hysteria on our hands. There's enough of that as it is."
*She handed her the autopsy photo of a man found in the Louvre*
"The cheeks have been cut out. My superiors disagree with me, but I suspect cannibalism."

Sydney took the file and looked at it for a while before speaking.
"This is just one incident. What makes you think it's a serial killer?"

"It was perfectly done. The killer's obviousley experienced. I suppose it could be a one-time thing, but I doubt it."
*Pulls over chairs*
"What did you get out of the doctor?"

Sydney sighed again, sat down, and opened her file. "He didn't know the girl but...he was a lot of help," she said, laying out the things on the desk.
"He agrees with me on the profile: white male, mid-20's to early 30's, right-handed...Also, according to the bloodly foot print he left, he's probably 6'-6'4", since there is some correlation between shoe size and height. The killer's got some grudge against women and he's doing these spur of the moment; he's trying to stop but he can't help himself."
"Hang on. What makes you think he's eating the parts he carved out? Most serial killers keep some sort of trophy...he could be keeping them in a jar for all we know."

"It's possible, but why the cheeks? Most serial killers take the scalp or a hand or something. The one thing cheeks have is meat. It's just a theory, though."

Sydney nodded.
"I think we should check the crime scenes out again," she said slowly, focusing on autopsy photos of the ballerina. "Maybe the police over saw something..."
Sydney got up and checked her watch. "It isn't that late...the police tape's still around the crime scene right?"

"Should be. We can go."
*Reaches for her trenchcoat*
"The other one's at the Louvre."

"Tell you what: I've got another session with Dr. Lecter later this afternoon. I'll check out the Louvre and ask him what he thinks; you check out the backstage. Maybe there something the police over looked--a piece of clothing, hair, anything."
Sydney organized her case file and put on her coat. "Oh, and interview the janitor again, ask him to give you the most specific description," she said as she opened the door.
"And, don't forget your gun," Sydney said when she noticed Irene wasn't concealing.

((Meh...I'll just post at the Louvre.
BTW: in the movie, Lecter had a star by Ris de veau which is the pancreas and thyroid glands. *shudder*]))

NEW DAY
*Irene sat down on a ouch with her notes, but couldn't concentrate on them.*
Murders, all day long...I need some relief.
