((Yay! I'm sorry I've been absent for so long! There's been too much stuff going on - again!))
Was Nicolas right? Was skill the only thing that mattered? True, without it, one wouldn't get far, but still Aurel believed that one must put some feeling behind the art. Otherwise it would just be so... cold. There would be no life in it. Kind of like himself. He looked at his feet, not wanting to speak his mind, not sure Nicolas would understand his thoughts.
Instead he smiled at him and nodded slowly.
"Yes, I'd love to hear your music", he said softly. There must be some kind of feeling in Nicolas's music, he refused to believe there wasn't. Not even Nicolas was totally emotionless. Or at least he hoped so.

((Nicolas = emotionless = me laughing my ass off. XD He is the furthest thing from.))
Nicolas looked over his shoulder at him, his smile radiant.
"Really?"
He always had this response to people taking an interest in his violin playing. This might never change. It was, ironically, one of the things that had only intensified since mortality for him. "Would you like to go to your library? Or is there a better room for it?"

((Certainly so, though Aurel is not sure wether he is very sensitive to emotions or just insane. Or maybe a mix of the two. Maybe Aurel's just a little dense sometimes...! )) "I am afraid there is no specific room for playing music, but you are welcome to use the library or any other room you might desire", Aurel said, calmly watching Nicolas.

((...both, definitely. XD He is improving in the sanity regard. slowly, but surely.))
"I haven't seen many rooms," said Nicolas with a laugh, as he'd indeed only been in about three - the library, Vincent's room, and the one he'd first broken into. "Perhaps a tour is in order?" he asked gamely.

Aurel smiled at the younger vampire. "Of course", he said. "This way." He led the way towards a large staircase, as he pointed to his right. "Over there is the dining room, and a kitchen" he began and waved nochalantly with his hand. "To the left is the library, but that you already know." he said with a smile. He began to walk up the stairs, glanced back at Nicolas. "There are several rooms I don't use, actually. Some of them are where my servants stay, yet mostly of them remain downstairs, some in the cellar. I don't know why, the rooms up here are perfectly fine, I think, but they still keep away by sleeping down there. Maybe they're scared of me sometimes" he mumbled the last sentence with a cold smirk.
When climbed the stairs, one could go down a hallway to both right and left. Aurel nodded to the right "That way leads to Vincent's room. My own is the opposite way. And there are several... 'guest rooms', you might say. However there are rarely any guests there. To get to the tower, you take to the right and there's a door that'll lead you to the towers' staircase."
Aurel looked at Nicolas, an apologetic look on his face. "I'm afraid I'm no good at giving tours. There are rooms I don't even know what's in them. Is there anything you'd like to see in particular?"

"Do you have much practice?" asked Nicki gaily and gently, with a slightly teasing smile that was not in any way meant to seem reproachful. It was more a comment on the fact that Aurel had invited him back, and that Nicolas was grateful for this, grateful and pleased.
"I'd like to see your tower," he said, softly, reaching out and gently laying a hand on his arm, fingertips just barely gripping the fabric as though to savor its texture, looking Aurel in the eye.

((Should I start a new thread for the tower?))
"I can't say that I do", Aurel established.
His body stiffened a little by Nicolas's touch. But his eyes remained warm and kind, as he relaxed at bit. He gazed back into Nicolas's eyes and nodded. "Then that's where we shall go."

((Sure!))
Nicolas stepped up beside him, a little closer, without removing his hand. He parted his lips as though to speak, but didn't, as though he'd forgotten, before he said, "Lead the way," trailing off like he'd been going to finish with something else that he thought he'd remember in a moment.
