*This was too much. The wound was nearly completely healed, just a white starburst-shaped scar in it's place. And they still wouldn't let her go. Why should it matter that it had only been a week or so? Sylvia sighed heavily. At least Elisabeta had been surprisingly dormant. Maybe even gone. That would be such a relief. She stretched and sat reading Machiavelli.*

(("She stretched and sat reading Machiavelli." As one does.))
*Buffy discovered Sylvia by the fairly unsubtle means of asking everyone where that crazy hot chick with the stab wound was. Hey, it worked.
She peeked around the door to see the woman reading a book about macchiatos, which Buffy hadn't thought were invented yet.*
"Hey," *she said, stepping into the room.* "How's it going?"

((But of course. She doesn't have anything else to do.))
*Sylvia looked up at the voice. It had been so long since anyone had come to see her. Her face lit up for a fleeting moment until she saw who it was. Then it hardened as she spoke coldly.*
"What do you want?"

*Buffy couldn't say she was surprised by the reception.*
"Well at least you're alive," *she said.* "Look, I'll cut to the chase--we can't find the girl who told us you were a vampire allied with Dracula. Obviously, she has some kind of evil plan going on."
*She folded her arms.*
"So we're here to find out what you know, and give her what's coming."

*Spike had tried to loiter in the hall, but eventually found his way in, standing behind Buffy, trying to look sympathetic, but still manly.*

*Sylvia rolled her eyes, closing the book but holding the page with her finger. Sure, why not? Not like anything mattered now. Everything was going to Hell so fast it was tripping over itself to get there. She spoke casually and painfully indifferent.*
"What can can I help you with? She's Dracula's mistress. I assume she only meant to kill off the competition. If she's not at his castle, I don't know where she is."
*She sighed, assuming that they knew such things already if they were truly in opposition to Dracula. And smart at all.*

*Buffy glanced at Spike.*
"She had to have some reason for calling a meeting to get rid of him," *she said.* "Know thine enemy?"
*She turned back to Buffy.*
"So what were you doing there, at his castle? What kind of woman is competition?"

"Anything with a pulse Anything that walks Anything that he can stick his... Let's just say that if she plans to destroy all of his interests, she will have to spend her immortality in the attempt."
*Sylvia pursed her lips. As much as she disliked Elisabeta, she almost felt bad for Dracula's perpetual list of conquests. Suddenly, she missed Jonathan very much. She pushed the thought aside.*
"I have been his prisoner before. And his wife's. That is how I came to be in his castle on both occasions."

"His... wife?" *Buffy repeated.* "I didn't know he was married. Can vampires be married? Who is she? And what's Georgiana?"

*Spike gave her a 'well duh' glare and bit his lip to keep from saying something too snarky. Now really wasn't the time. What did she think vampires were? A bunch of free-lovin' hippies?*

*Sylvia sighed. They really were terrible at this, weren't they? She licked her lips before answering as simply as she could manage, for their benefit.*
"I was given to believe that they were married before it was an issue. She...killed herself. Her name is Elisabeta. I assumed that you knew this already. Isn't this what you do? Professionally?"
*She sighed.*
"Georgiana is...a woman. A very scorned undead woman. I don't believe that she is interested in being just another of Dracula's concubines."

*Buffy stared at her. But... weddings happened in churches! Not that vampires couldn't actually go in; it was just that it was, you know, religious. Crosses and stuff.*
"Yeah, but I'm not... from around here. When I knew Dracula, there wasn't anybody like that around."
*She glanced at Spike.*
"So Georgiana's not looking to take him down; just you and this Elisabetta. I wonder why she called all of us together. Okay; so we need to find her. And provided you're not sending us on another dirty errand, we'll take her out. I'll check first, of course. Any idea where she might hang out?"

You need to learn to listen.
*Sylvia sighed heavily.*
"I didn't say she didn't want to kill Dracula. Have you never heard the phrase 'Hell hath no wrath like a woman scorned'? I believe that might go doubly for Georgiana. I already told you, if she's not at the castle, I don't know where she is. I only met her once."
*She turned back to her book, opening it and finding her place again. She continued the conversation without looking up.*
"And why should I have reason to send you falsely? You're the ones that came looking for me."
Trust me, I was looking to meet again under different circumstances, mainly one that involved lots of blood and ash.
