"Hey," *Renn said, crouching down on the floor.* "You'll find her. Just PM Marijke!"
*Suddenly she remembered something.*
"Oh, duh! Rochester! He knows Shadi, maybe that could help."

*Simon looked up to her, his hope renewed.*
"Rochester? Who's that?"
*He was already on his feet and helping her up.*

"Well, he's He's a lord, actually. He lives in the city."
*She looked at him, completely awake now, and trying to regain composure.*

*Simon squeezed her hand, pulling her towards the door.*
"Can you take me to him? I need to find River as soon as possible. For her safety, and everyone else's."

"I'll have to sneak away from my boss, but hey. He's probably hiding from his, so it won't be to hard."
*She gave him a hard look.*
"I'll help you out, if you tell me what the deal with her is, okay?"

"Sure. Fine. Whatever. Can we go now?"
*Simon looked anxious to leave.*

"Yeah, okay. Sheesh. C'mon."
*Renn lead him to the back door of the infirmary, and hailed a cab. She clambered in, and gave the driver Rochester's address.*

"Thanks."
((To Rochester's?))

***AFTER THE UNSUCCESSFUL SEARCH***
*Simon wandered back into the infirmary. Looking for River hadn't gone well. But at least they knew her here. If anything happened...they might bring her back. Time to try an alternate plan. He looked around for the nice nurse that had helped him before.*

Diana came out of a patient's room as her hourly rounds came to an end.

*Simon approached the nurse with the hint of a nervous air.*
"Excuse me, Miss...I was in earlier...and I was hoping that I might be able to help out..."
*He gave a small hopeful smile.*

"Oh, yes. I was actually going to ask you about that," she said with a smile.
She guided him to a couch a few feet away and offered him a seat before sitting herself down. "So, what kind of experience do you have Dr. Tam?" she asked.

*Simon thought on it. How to sum it up? He swallowed and tried to keep his breathing calm as he spoke. After all, it wasn’t like he he had to lie about anything. He was better at it when he wasn’t lying.*
“Well…I attended Osiris’s Medical Academy. I graduated in the top 3% of my class, and promptly moved onto a medical internship, which I completed in eight months and received my license to practice medicine. I became a resident trauma surgeon on one of the major hospitals in Capital City.”
*Any pride in his words faltered as he continued. He lowered his eyes and his lips quivered slightly.*
“I…I had to take a leave to care for my sister. She’s not well. I’ve been providing services on a small vessel since then, but nothing in a major city. Mostly backwaters.”
And fixing up rebels and smugglers.

Diana's expression saddened. "I'm sorry," she said quietly with a small, supportive smile. "Do you know what's wrong with her?"

*Simon's eyes were sad.*
"I'm still...it's complicated. I need more time for diagnosis."
I don't know how to fix what they've done to her.
