Diana exited the file room and walked down to the nurse's station with a stack of patient folders in her arms.
"Renn?" She called out, picking out a few folders for her.

Renn stood up hurriedly.
"Yes? What do you need?"
She walked over and took the folders, flipping through them.

Diana smiled. "Time for your daily rounds. I know it's not the most fun thing to do but you can learn a lot for giving medical clearances," she said with a laugh. "They're all here for medical clearances so nothing major. Just make sure you write as much as you can down so I can get it validated by Dr. House."
"Oh, by the way, how did that date go?" she asked, remembering before she dismissed her.

Renn began to say something, then closed her mouth. She paused a moment.
"...It went," she said finally, turning to go.

"He stood you up?" Diana asked angrily.

"No, no. He showed up," she said. "It just wasn't the most enjoyable night of my life."
"It wasn't all that bad actually. Toward the end of dinner he was almost nice."
Renn put on a fake smile.
"I'd better go check on those patients, huh?"

Diana knew that the date was a complete disaster. But seeing as how Renn was trying to protect House, she knew not to push it the matter any further.
"Yes," she said with a nod, dismissing her.

Renn opened the door of one of the exam rooms to see a girl sitting on the bed.
"Hi!" she said brightly. "I'm Renn. How are you feeling?"

Tia looked up at the young lady that came through the door in a white lab coat.
"I just have a little cough," she said slowly while signing. It was a bit of a habit "I don't think it's a big problem."

Oh, she's deaf...
Without skipping a beat, Renn continued her questions.
"Okay," she said with a smile, "What're you doing here?"

"I just got a job at the university as an instructor for American Sign Language. They need a health clearance. Apparently I’m a little anemic, so they made me get some more tests," she said and signed with a smile.

"Any family history of anemia?" Renn asked, preparing to fill out her history.

Tia shook her head. "Not that I know of. My mother passed away of cancer when I was young, and my father died of heart failure a few years ago."

"I am an only child," Tia said simply with a small grin. "I had a fiance once but it didn't last very long. I'm sorry if my lack of history is a problem. Although, a nurse ran some tests on me. They should be back, probably in that file."
