*Sylvia made her way into the Infirmary, dressed more modestly than normal (although only to her standards) and looking quietly for Diana.*

Diana came out of the clinic and was flipping through a chart when she nearly bumped into Sylvia.
"Oh! I'm sorry, Ms. Gallo," she said slightly blushing. "Is there something wrong with the graph?"

*Sylvia smiled and lowered her eyes, her voice soft.*
"Oh no, thank you. It seems to be doing as well as can be expected. I was just..."
This is not the time to get shy.
"I was wondering if you needed any help. Around here, I mean. I don't have any formal training in the field, but I figured you could use the extra hands."

"Oh, of course I need more help around here but... I have to warn you, there'll be a lot of blood, stool, vomiting... more blood--" Diana sighed. "I'm not questioning your ability to handle the work around here but I'm just putting it out there so there won't be any surprises in the future."

*Sylvia did her best to keep her smile.*
"That's quite all right. I don't mind. I've probably dealt with worse. What would you be needing? And when can I start?"

Diana smiled. "Whenever," she said sweetly. "I'll have to talk with the Dean but I'm sure he'll say yes."
"While we wait for the good doctor to come in, why don't I give you a quick tour?"

*Sylvia's smile warmed.*
"Please. That would be lovely."

"All right then," Diana said happily as she set down the file.
"This is the medicine cabinet," she said as she gestured to it. "It's always kept locked for... reasons. I'll be sure to get you a copy of the key."
Diana lead Sylvia over to the clinic. "This is the free clinic. As you can see, it is filled with patients because doctor House isn't in yet... as usual," she said with a frustrated sigh.

So I won't be paid. I guess that's all right. Not that I would be the other way anyways. And at least I'll be busy.
*Sylvia kept up gracefully, her brow intent on learning what she would need to know.*
"Will I be handling medication? I'm not qualified in anyway. I was thinking...changing sheets, bedside assistance...is that not what you need?"

Diana grinned. "Mm-hmm. That's why our next stops will be the supply rooms," she said, taking a left into a small corridor.
"In supply room 1, you'll find bed sheets, blankets and pillow cases," she said as she opened the door, showed her the exteremly neat room and pointed to everything. "Bed sheets are in that corner, blankets over there and the pillow cases are in those drawers."

*Sylvia nodded.*
"Of course. Thank you. What is next?"
*She took careful note of things, committing them to memory.*

Diana closed the first supply room and walked over to another door but didn't open it.
"Supply room 2 has all the medial instruments: scalpels, hemostats, etc. This room has to stay as sterile as possible which means washing your hands before entering this room. And every once a week, the ones used during the week need to be sterilized and put back in here. Except for a few basic tools that belong in the drawers out side."
Diana moved to the third door. "This one has all the medications and drugs in them: IVs, antibiotic, asprin, etc. Check the medicine cabinet outside regularly to see if any of the bottles need refilling. If any of them do," she smiled, "you know what to do: just bring the bottles in here, refil them and put them back into the medicine cabinet in alphabetical order."
"All of these doors are kept locked when they don't need to be accessed. You and I will be the only two people in this infirmary who have the keys so, if you find that some of the supplies are missing, you need to tell me right away," she said seriously.

((I can get Sylvia there, but I figured you'd want someone with some actual medical knowledge.))
*Sylvia's brow furrowed. That seemed like a lot of responsibility. She hoped she was up for it.*
"Does...does that sort of this happen a lot? Things go missing?"

"No, but it's one of those things that are bound to happen," Diana said with a shrug.
"If you have any questions, now is the time to ask," she said kindly.
