*Rochester nodded without thinking. Who would believe what horror he'd scene?*
"No...of course not...just..."
*He turned his face away from cold unfeeling light.*
"...leave."

*Dorian left without another word, inwardly seething. How dare he accuse him of seducing his silly little girl? The experience had hardly been worth the effort of bedding her, let alone causing such a scene. He refused to think of what had occurred in the attic- facing that truth was not an enjoyable prospect. Not to mention that he'd lost something of a kindred spirit, in losing Rochester as a friend. He lugged the heavy painting down the stairs and out of the house, not even pausing to look back and hailed a cab.*

((Aww...*hugs Dorian*))
*Rochester sunk into a corner of the attic, finally alone with his thoughts. And that was too terrible a thing to handle at the moment. He could only stare, numb. He didn't even notice that he had started to weep.*

**NEXT DAY**
*A letter arrives...* Rochester,
I deeply regret the terms on which we last spoke, though you've made it evident that logical reasoning will not sway your opinion of me. For what I did, I will not apologise, because I am not sorry. I am, however, sorry that you had to see what you did last night. That was something I had never intended anyone to see and I regret that you did not have the good judgement to leave well enough alone.
That being said, I request that my personal belongings be sent to my new lodgings at Le Rouge de l'Epine.
I thank you for your time and hospitality.
