*Rochester returned to the room in a cold fury. He was eerily quiet as he spoke.*
"Get. Out. Of. My. House."

*Dorian glared at him.*
"Will you at least give me time to collect my personal effects?" *he asked coldly. A pang of fear struck him- Rochester couldn't see his portrait, especially not now that things between them were... less that good.*

*Rochester's lips tightened and his fist clenched.*
"Just go. I'll send your things. Elsewhere."

"I must insist, sir. At least the package in the attic," *he said, his voice on edge.*

*Rochester stepped forward, ready to come to blows.*
"I will see it gets to you. Now go. Go now and leave me!"
*The point was not up for negotiation.*

"I don't think you understand. I will not leave without it. Feel free to send along my other possessions, but I refuse to leave without it."
*His steady glare was a challenge to the other man.*

"Very well."
*There was a coldness in his tone that hinted at some uncharacteristic darkness. He turned sharply on his heel and started quickly up to the attic.*
"Let us see this...this thing that you can't live without...what is it that cannot wait?"
*He didn't speak to Dorian, just at him as he made his way upstairs.*

Damn!
*Dorian hurried to catch up to Rochester.* "No!" *he cried, uncharacteristic desperation breaking through his usually reserved speech.*
"Rochester, please. Let me just take it and go. You'll never see me again. I do not wish to hurt you, but I will not hesitate to do so."

*Rochester let out a bitter laugh, his pace not slowing.*
"You haven't seemed concerned about what might hurt me up until now... why should this be any different?"
*He cleared the length of the attic in no time.*
"No, I think I should like very much to see what you are so desperate to keep secret. How bad could it possibly be?"
*His hands grasped the canvas and he tugged it roughly.*

((Pretty much.))
"Keep away from that!"
*Dorian threw himself at Rochester, shoving him away from the painting. unfortunately for him, he knocked against the frame, and the painting clattered to the ground, face up. The canvas covering the painting fell away to reveal the horrible sight.*
((Think Erik times 10. But with a nose. And like, 80 years old.))

*Rochester was frozen by the sight, unable to process it. After a long moment, his voice escaped faintly.*
"What....is that?"

*He flew to recover the hideous thing, his face distorted in rage, resembling, for a moment, the creature portrayed in paint.*
"You had no business seeing that," *he said, his voice impossibly calm.*

*Rochester just stood, dazed at the sight. He finally managed a whisper.*
"Just...go. Take it and go."

*Dorian picked up the far-too-big painting and walked toward the door, every nerve on edge. He stopped at the doorway and turned back to Rochester.*
"Tell anyone about what you saw, you will not live to regret it," *he said in an icy voice, vivid blue eyes flashing dangerously.*
