Okay so that was actual canon. HP fanfiction is more what proves that adage with all the Draco/rando Light Side character.
Random idea from that: what if the Light Side were EVIL, for a change? What if all that was good was on the side of darkness? What if nighttime was the only safe time and chaos ruled in the day?
