There are a lot of fights at my school, but usually the police squad can get the people apart before they can really hurt each other. There was one thing where they thought someone was stabbed, but apparently it wasn't a stabbing, even though we all saw the guy bleeding up in the Rotunda. But whatever...

WARNING: This post includes several different topics.
Topic #1 - My school had "race riots" my freshman year. They weren't really riots, but there were racially motivated fights. It all started when a girl overheard her boyfriend being put down by a boy who happened to be black, and so she decided to get back at him by confronting him and a group of his friends--all of whom also happened to be black--at lunchtime. She called them the N-word and told them to go back to Africa. As far as I'm concerned, she deserved their reaction and then some. A few days later someone decided to retaliate or something...that second fight wasn't nearly so publicised, if you will. I know the first one happened though, because I saw her being led out of the lunchroom with an icepack over her fourhead and several narcs acting as bodyguards.
We also had a bomb threat about three months before the end of my senior year, and it was easily the best day of school I've ever had. ^_^
Topic #2 - I've been having trouble with LJ and IMDB for the past few hours...is my computer being screwy or is anyone else experiencing problems? I saw someone mention a problem with Phanwank, but my computer won't let me get to LJ period.
Topic #3 - I'm getting a little too obsessed with Disney's Alice in Wonderland. I've just started making a virtual Christmas list to email to my mom, and the only three items on it so far are "Alice shirt #1," "Alice shirt #2" and "Alice lamp."

My school was pretty tame. Gas leak, supposed bomb threat that was really just a stray bag, some "predator" alert when a drunk old guy wandered into the school by mistake, and an arson in grade ten that torched half the school to the ground and sent us to finish the year at the nearest other highschool, going to school from 1-7 pm every day.
Today has been effing stupid so far. Until my boss showed up early and I got to leave work early and am going to meet a male friend I haven't seen in ages for coffee (sister is convinced it's a date--it's not and I'm debating going sans-showering to prove it,) and then going out with the family for Indian food and a that Helen Mirren movie downtown.
But what made today stupid?
Glancing at the local paper and realizing my friend just got f**king arrested for being a complete and utter idiot.

My school is so boring. It's the same routine day after day after day... before you know it, the days slide into one long blur. Well, we did have this assembly in honor of Veteran's Day. One of the ROTC guys was doing a solo, twirling his gun thingamabob and he accidently dropped it on the stage. It made this huge resounding noise and the audience was suddenly dead silent. It was sad but hilarious!
Compared to your schools, mine is nothing but boredom.
