He snapped back to the here and now.
"Sounds good. Uh...somewhere simple. I've got money still but not a whole lot."

John smiled "How about a hot dog? These carts have been popping up all over the place, I heard the fad came in from New York. Lots of people from the states have been relocating here these past few years, it was bound to happen."

"I know what those are. I've had them before. Simple enough, and oh yes, cheap enough."
He'd had to resist referring to Dracheheim again--he always seemed to do that whenever John mentioned something that was common to the modern day. He sometimes forgot that both England (it seemed) and Paris were a ways behind.
"Point me in the right direction!"

John sniffed the air playfully "This way!" He pointed to a bustling street full of well dressed people and big hats.

He turned in that direction, grabbing John's arm and walking arm and arm with him.
"Yikes. Mind the crowd."

"I know, Paris is becoming filled with new age money, it's nice enough, but it's now just so damn full of people you can barely get down the street anymore."

"Maybe we should go to London," he joked. "Or even Dracheheim. Perhaps they wouldn't be so crowded!"

He laughed "Maybe we should, but I don't feel like traveling very far for a hot dog!"

"Well, just as a trip, I meant."
Though, it'd have to be London, considering the circumstances.
"But anyway, I know some shortcuts, if you don't mind going through some not-so-nice areas."

"Never have before" he shrugged.

Grabbing John's arm, László ducked into a side alley and began to expertly wind his way through the back lanes of the area. Thanks to the light foot traffic (and no carriage or automobiles due to the narrowness of the lanes) the going was pretty quick.
"You know, maybe, once I get settled and actually have money, I might visit England, or Spain, or Germany...I'd love to, someday."

"I've never been to Spain or Germany, my life has been spent entirely between here and England, I almost made it on to a train to Russia once, but I missed it by half a minute."

"We could go to Germany--we both know German, after all, so nobody would get lost."
He stopped for a short break, catching his breath, and started laughing.
"I can't even believe the words coming out of my mouth. A little ahead of myself, there."

John too took a breath, and laughed out "I don't mind."

"I can barely see myself at a job. I can't even imagine being on a vacation or something."
