"Vacation" John mused "oh I haven't had one of those in-" he paused and furrowed his brow "-ever."

"Neither have I."
He looked thoughtful for a moment.
"I never thought I'd ever leave that city, much less the country. Sometimes it's hard to believe that I'm not only in Paris, but have made a life here."
He glanced over at John.
"I never would have guessed, or believed it not that long ago. So much has changed...I could swear I'm dreaming it."

He leaned against the wall still catching his breath "Maybe you are, I mean I'm so awesome, you could have only dreamed me up right?"
He looked serious for a moment before falling out "Sorry, sorry."

László took a deep breath, and let it out slowly.
"I figure you'd understand better than anyone else why I feel the way I feel about things, but then you keep saying things like that to me. I don't get you sometimes."

John furrowed his brow "It was just a joke, really, I'm sorry."
He pushed himself off the wall and started heading out in to the street.

László grabbed his arm.
"I was trying to tell you what this all means to me."

John stopped and bit his lip "I know, I-" he lifted his hand to Laszlo's and slowly removed it, still holding it, staring deeply in to the other mans eyes.
"I didn't mean to upset you, honestly, it was inappropriate and I apologize. You know what you mean to me and-" he sighed and tried to look away but found he couldn't "I'm an ass."

"I'm not upset...just..."
He gave John's hand a squeeze.
"I'm trying to figure things out. I don't know anything about this sort of thing, you know? It's all alien to me."

"I'm not helping with my dumb jokes either."

He shook his head, though he was smiling.
"How could you know I'd go all serious on you?"

John smiled "Usually that's my job, come on" he kept hold of Laszlo's hand "lets get that lunch."

It was a bit novel, walking and holding hands, and he kept hold of John's as they made they their way down the alley and out into their destination.
"Ta-da! My shortcuts saved the day again."

John smiled as they walked up to the hot dog vendor, who despite seeing odder things then two men holding hands every day managed to look slightly disgusted at them.
John pretended not to notice "I'll have a hot dog, everything on it, extra horse radish, Laz?"

László noticed the look, too, but being László he didn't ignore it--he shot a warning glare at the man before asking for a very basic frank. He wasn't a fan of piling a ton of stuff on top of simple things like a hot dog.

John continued smiling paid the man, and as they turned away, proceeded to kiss Laszlo quite deeply on the mouth.
"Thanks for the hot dogs sir!" He waved and laughed as they began to walk away.
"You'd think people would be used to this type of thing by now."
