Clear, sparkling water filled the pond that Tia had pointed out. Trees were scattered around it and provided a good source of shade.
When Tristan and Tia arrived by the pond, Tristan dismounted Pegasus and secured him so he would not run away. Tristan strode over to Goldie and offered his hand to Tia for her to descend.

Tia took his hand and tried to get off the side saddle without making a complete fool of herself...but failed and fell off her horse, landing on Tristan.
She quickly stood up, completely mortified and signed the sign for sorry and offered him her hand.

Tristan lay completely still on the ground and then broke into laughter. He took her hand and stood himself up.
"Thank you, Miss Tia." Tristan still had a firm hold on her hand.

***POSTING AS TIA***
Tia felt her heart lurch and her face turn a shade darker as he kept his warm hand upon her's. She stood still and looked at their hands...

Tristan followed her gaze to their still linked hands. He instantly pulled his own hand away.
"I'm terribly sorry, Miss Tia," he apologized. "Guess I didn't know what came over me." Tristan shrugged nervously.

Tia immediately took his hand again and slowly stepped closer to him. Swallowing hard, she leaned in and kissed him lightly on the lips...

Tristan's eyes opened wide and then slowly closed as the realization sunk into him. He felt Tia start to pull away, but he brought his hand to her back and pulled her back to him, their lips once again meeting.
He let go relucantly a few seconds later.
"I'm so sorry, Miss Tia. I am just... not me today; I do not have an appropriate reason for my inexcusable behavior."

Tia tried to read his lips but a strange haze filled her mind and wouldn’t allow her to focus on the movements of his lips.
Giving up, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her cheek into his, staying close to him...

Tristan had wanted this reaction, so had somehow been unconsciously expecting it. Still, externally, he showed signs of obvious surprise.
He held Tia close to him. Oh, how Tristan wished he could spend the rest of his life like this! He gently pulled away and took Tia to the shade of a nearby tree. The young man spread out a blanket that appeared from thin air and told Tia to sit.

Tia sat down and took his hand, gently pulling at his arm and telling him to sit with her.
When he did, she laid her head on his shoulder and leaned her back against the tree, quietly watching their horses and the picture-perfect scenery around them...

Tristan sighed contentedly and put an arm around Tia's shoulder.
