((Continued from Christine's dressing room and Wandering Around. Sorry it took so long, Lune!))
*Arielle hurried over to a small stone bench, collapsing onto it as she stopped. She buried her face in her hands, everything form the past few weeks crashing down on her. After a few minutes, she finally calmed down, staring off into space as a few birds chirped through the gloomy gray afternoon.*

*Laurie walked through the opera's magnificent gardens ((beside the courtyard, y'know,)) and saw Arielle sitting on a bench behind a hedge. He sat beside her and folded his hands, resting his elbows on his knees.*
"It's been a hard time for you..." *he said gently.*

*Arielle's eyes were still far away.* Yes...*Her gaze moved upward so that she was gazing off into the sky.* Oh, Laurie, I'm sorry.

*Laurie turned to look at Arielle and reached out to cradle her face in his hands. ((See icon.))* "What are you sorry for? You've not done anything wrong..."

((*melts*))
*Arielle's eyes were still far away, though they were directed towards Laurie's face.* Yes, I have. I've ruined everything for Marianne and Raoul, and I hurt Francis, too, but most especially I've robbed you of the wife you should truly have. I'm a terrible wife...I'll never be anything but a terrible wife...and I'm sorry.

*Teddy shook his head.* "Raoul deserved whatever he got, for the way he treated you, and any misery Marianne gets out of anything is most likely due to her poor choice in a husband--it's a pity, but it can't be helped now, I suppose. Francis...well, I've never met him, but he seems a decent gentleman, and he'll do well enough, and again, it can't really be helped." *He cleared his throat and shrugged.* "And what wife did you rob me of? Jo's changed--greatly--from the girl I...so much has happened to her, back in America, and I wasn't there and I can't know what to do or how to help. She could have written me earlier about their problems and I'd've helped and none of this awful selling business would have happened--it's illegal is what it is--and she's never wanted to marry me, anyways. There was never anyone who wanted to be my wife besides you." *He looked warily at Arielle.* "...you regret marrying me?"

*Arielle shook her head slowly, looking very much out of it.* No...you are the best, sweetest, most wonderful thing to happen to me...*She sighed softly* I'm worried about...you. You deserve so much more than I can ever give you...you deserve a beautiful girl who can love you and who you can marry in a big wedding with your friends and your family...you deserve more than dumpy me, pregnant with someone else's child, with a tiny little ceremony...And I've robbed you of it. And...and I'm so, so sorry.

*Laurie laughed.* "Jo would have done none of those things, excepting the family bit; but I'm an orphan, and despite my grandfather and the Marches being like my sisters, I never truly expected to have a real family with me on my wedding day." *He grinned.* "Now stop apologizing, or I'll have to start doing all kinds of dreadful things to make you rightfully sorry."

*Lune ran out in the garden; she could have sworn she saw Arielle coming out here. And she was right. Arielle sat on a stone bench together with a man Lune didn't recognize. Lune walked slowly to the two of them.*
"Arielle... I'm sorry if I'm interrupting, but... I was just wondering if you were alright?"
We're not the closest of friends, but... Hopefully she won't think of me as annoying for asking...

*Arielle smiled at Laurie, her eyes finally focussing, before turning to see Lune.* Oh, my goodness! Hi, Lune! *She smiled as brightly as ever.* Teddy, this is my friend Lune. And Lune, this is my husband, Theodore Lawrence.

"Your husband? I didn't know you were married! Congratulations!" *Lune smiled friendly at Teddy* "Pleased to meat you too!"

I DECLARE THEE- EMPTY!
*Belladonna wandered out into the deserted garden, wrapped in a dark blue cloak and looking very depressed. With a sigh, she sat down on a bench and gazed off into teh distance, completely lost in her emo sad thoughts*
