*Raoul grinned.* "I have to say I do not have a clue how to do that. Perhaps it would be better to take it out completely." *He began removing the rest of the hair pins, trying hard not to pull on her hair.*

Marianne shook her head, the loose curls tumbling down her back in a waterfall of deep crimson. "Is that better?" she said with smile as she knelt gracefully to pick up some scattered pins.

*Raoul smiled*
"Much, you look better natural than all dressed up. Thats what I love about you."
*He gasped.*
"I--I mean..."

Marianne blushed. "I... will take care to wear my hair down more often," she replied, her eyes cast down at the pins but a small smile playing on her lips.

*Raoul regained his breath, hoping that she had not noticed the bludder.*
"That is good.I will probably have to return home soon and sort out the mess that is my life."
*Raoul had forgotten everything for a few moments.*
"I really do not wish to go."

Marianne got to her feet and nodded, glancing away to hide her disappointment. "I understand." She wondered what things he had to sort out, but decided it was best not to ask. Instead she gave him a quick smile.

*Raoul got up as well.* "I will come and see you as soon as I can." *Not being able to stop himself, he lunged (ha) forwards and pressed his lips to hers again.*

Marianne returned the kiss and slipped her hand around to the nape of his neck, toying with his hair for a moment before releasing him. "Go on," she said with a smile.

"What.. Oh yeah."
*Raoul grinned boyishly and sprinted out of the chapel.*

Marianne watched him go, the smile slowly fading from her face. She couldn't deny her feelings for him, but the sight of him with that Anneke girl was almost too much to bear. Her heart ached at the memory.
You can't blame him for something he did before he met you!
She knew it was true. The smile on her face blossomed again at the thought of his protestations of love. Why would he lie?
She pushed her tousled hair away from her face, her spirits buoyant once more, and left the chapel.

((I'm too lazy to make another place for her to pray. Oh, this is some fun self-doubt.))
*Arielle sighed softly as she entered the chapel, pulling the hood of her cloak off of her head and shaking her hair back* I need to think... *With another sigh, she lit a candle for her parents and knelt to pray, familiar words that brought her comfort*
Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
*Crossing herself, she opened her eyes but did not get up.*
Oh, Mother, can I trust Raoul with my heart? He promised, but... can I truly give him my heart, knowing that he won't break it? I wish you were still here to help me. *She continued to sit there, deep in thought, watching the flame dance on her candle*

Marianne slipped into the chapel, and her gaze was instantly drawn to the only figure present. Surely there was more than one nun in this area, but how was she supposed to distinguish one from the other?

Marianne knew she was on a wild goose chase, but sensed that the masked woman would not cease with her vendetta unless it could be somehow proven that Raoul was innocent.
She approached the kneeling nun and touched her lightly on the shoulder. How on earth should I phrase this? "Um, excuse me..."
