"He liked my cooking!" She said, puffing up a bit with pride.
It was one thing to cook for family, or yourself. It was something else when it was a boy you really liked.

"That's because you're cookin is better than most chefs" Aideen chuckled.

She grinned.
"You think so? Well, I don't know many in Paris who cook Japanese dishes. I guess there aren't many Japanese here?"
Not that she had seen, at least. She'd seen immigrants from China and Korea, but hadn't met another from Japan.

"No, not a lot" Aideen admitted "most I hear go to America."
Aideen had thought about taking Edur to America a couple times, getting as far away from this part of the world as possible.

"I heard about America. Lots of people from there live here. Have you ever been there?"
Traveling to different places always sounded like it would be exciting, but it was a thing she hadn't really contemplated until she'd been forced to leave Japan. But time spent in Paris was making her bolder.
"I'd like to visit someday."
Not just America, either. Germany, or Italy, England, Canada...

"No, I've never been" she replied "I came from Southern Ireland and moved my way up through Europe before landing here in Paris."

"I'd like to visit Ireland, too."
She laughed.
"I think I want to visit everywhere."

"A tour of the world huh?" Aideen leaned back and laughed "I could see that."

Yaoya closed her eyes, imagining herself on a boat.
"That would be wonderful. My only problem would be wondering where to start."

"Someplace close, we could visit London and Dublin, Greece and Rome. Then maybe Hong Kong and Tokyo, then San Francisco and New York" she leaned smiled wide.
It was a nice dream.

Everywhere sounded like the best place to start, really.
"I almost traveled through China. There was an alternate route that would've taken me that way, but my guide said it would've taken longer to get here if I did."
Since then she'd seen a map of the region, and from how she saw it, it should have been the quicker way to France. The way she'd gone had been extremely roundabout.

"I know nothing about China" she smiled "and even less about Japan. Happens when you've got no education and live here."

"Oh, I could tell you about Japan! Well, the part I lived it, at least, and the things I heard."

Aideen grinned "Tell me."
She knew that it may depress the girl, but talking about home always helped Aideen.

"Oh, where do I start?!"
After a moments of trying to think of a good place, she started describing her home and the surrounding farmlands, how when she was a child she climbed the peach tree by the house, or would wander among the fields when she had a free moment. For a little while, she was back there, and her tone of voice showed the contentment she'd felt.
