The White Queen formerly known as Sarah Rodriguez was working on figuring out the enchantments and powers around Excalibur when she felt an odd tugging sensation. Frowning prettily, she glanced up from what she was working on and glanced about. Of course, she knew it wasn't anything in the immediate area, but it helped to give her a sense of direction when she did so, though it gave her the appearance of following an invisible tennis match.
Eventually, she settled on a direction that was somewhere in the neighborhood of "south-south east" and seemed to stare intently at it for some moments. Anyone coming into the room might've thought she was staring at the currently off television in the living room, and likely would have wondered at her mental state or, perhaps, wondered why she didn't just turn it on.
Nodding to herself, the White Queen went back to her work, singing under her breath a tune that sounded suspiciously like "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", but with an oddly transposed-lower sounding pitch to it.
"And as for fortune, and as for fame...I never invited them in..."

((Woop!))
Jay, Jay well... he'd been around.
Mostly drinking down in the hotel bar, and at the very moment, he was slightly intoxicated. Luckily for him, he was entirely too well bred and it would be hard, if you couldn't see his eyes or hear him speak, you would never know.
Opening the door carefully he was faced with the sight before him.
It pained him, but it seemed to be that his dear Sarah had simply lost her mind.

Hearing the door open, she paused in the midst of what she was doing and turn toward.
"Hello, dear! I haven't seen you lately, what have you been up to?"
She frowned prettily.
"I've been neglecting you something terrible, haven't I? I'm a bad ladyfriend."

"No, no dear you've been- you've been busy" he came in and closed the door, looking more beat down than any of the years he waited for Daisy.

"Well, you'll be glad to know, I discovered the magical properties the sword contains, well, aside from it being vorpal."

"Oh" he moved slowly toward her, attempting to pretend that the room was not spinning, and plopped unceremoniously in to a nearby chair.

She nodded as though he'd made a particularly insightful comment.
"Yes, indeed. It gives a measure of protection to the wearer from darker forces as long as they wield it, and it also seems to give the bearer a stronger force of personality--that is, gives you more leadership qualities than you might have had otherwise."

"So it's the sword that's made you-" he waved his hand in front of his face "never mind."

She tilted her head to one side.
"Hmm? What do you mean?"

"You have no idea do you?"

She turned away from her little set-up to face him fully.
"No? What is it?"

"Do you even know how much you've changed? Do you even realize it? You aren't Sarah you aren't-" he sighed "you aren't my love."

"It's not a change so much as a shift. The real one still exists, you know." She said matter-of-factly.
"She hasn't gone away. Well, she's gone away in the sense that she isn't right here, but she hasn't gone away in the sense that she can't come back."
