Charles was not unknowing of the problems facing Paris, as well as it's neighboring cities.
He all ready had the rest of the world taken care of, with patrols of X-Men planted everywhere from New York to Tokyo.
But Paris, this Paris, was out of control, and with the influx of masked men running about attempting to regain such control, Charles knew he too had to take action.
Life wasn't easy for his X-Men back on, what he now refereed to as Earth 1, but here it seemed, with so many super humans, they were now a large minority, with new ones appearing everyday. But he was sure just as Erik was, that if mutants started to, come out, so to speak, they would be treated with the same fear and loathing as they had been on Earth 1.
But what he knew, was at least here, the path to co-existence would be much, much shorter.
Which oddly enough, led him to one of the few super beings from Earth 1 that too had been transported here, but did not actually have any super powers. A one Mr. Tony Stark.
Tony Stark had never worked with the X-Men directly as many of the other super beings in their world. But his company had worked on the image-inducers that allowed some of his X-Men to change their look. Nightcrawlers especially allowed him a full transformation in to someone he decided would be more acceptable for people to look at.
Charles of course thought he was beautiful without it, but as Kurt once told him, to each his own.
Deciding a few weeks after the discovery of Stark's presence, and the influx of crime, Charles decided it would be in the best interest for his friends as well as Stark's if they met face to face.
So, instead of sending him a formal invitation, Charles re-calibrated Cerebro, gained access to Tony's brain waves and proceeded to contact him.
Tony, do not be alarmed, you are not going mad, and this is not your conscience. I am Professor Charles Xavier of The Xavier and Lehnsherr Home for Gifted Children, I am a psychic and a leader of he mutant group The X-Men. We have never formally met, although you and your company created the holographic image-inducers that my X-Men use. I am sure that you know of me, and may respond to me simply by thinking. If you are busy at the moment, simply tell me so and I will contact you later.
