((The worlds WORST but true XD))
Crane noticed the girls quick movement and raised a curious eyebrow. On his way to grab his drink- which he immediately returned and explained that they'd forgotten the soy milk- he bent down to grab the girls dropped money. He came up to her hiding place behind the booth and stood tall above her "It seems as if you dropped this."

Shilo jumped. She hadn't heard him coming and he'd completely surprised her.
"Uh, yeah! Thank you. I gotta be more careful." She said, reaching out for the bills.

"It's a dangerous town" he smiled "you can never be too careful who might have come across it."

"Oh my god yes," She said, putting the money away.
"I've seen some crazy stuff."

He raised his eyebrow "Not to intrude, but would you care to elaborate?"

"Well--"
She lowered her voice, realizing that they could be overheard.
"Zombies. And Batman. And...oh god! You probably think I'm nuts. But there's vampires, too."

"Vampires?" He'd gotten her started and slowly edged his way in to the seat across from her.

Shilo shuddered.
"Yeah. I haven't...run into one. I think. I guess you wouldn't know if someone was one unless they did something."
That though gave her a nasty chill.
"This place. It's just...nuts."

"No. My dad and I moved here a little while ago."
Or had they? Her coming to Paris was still incredibly fuzzy and confusing, like there was a gap in her memory that had been poorly filled in.
"I really don't think he was expecting the kind of stuff that's happened here."

"Nobody does" he leaned back in the seat and extended a lanky hand "Dr. Jonathan Crane."

"Psychology" he grinned all teeth "I'm vice director of The New Arkham Institute here in Paris."

"Oh! I've heard of that place. You should be careful. Everyone's always saying bad things about Paris' asylums."

"I have heard some awful things about certain asylums in Paris, I promise the New Arkham Asylum aims to change that" he crossed his long legs beneath the table and leaned back. "We've built a state of the art facility on the ruins of the old Charenton Asylum" this was partially true. There was some parts of the facility left, a few towers, the old wardens house and the basement solitary cells all remained. They simply built around these pieces incorporating them in to what, for all intents and purposes, was a completely normal care facility. Some of their inmates never came in contact with Crane or Strange, but the ones that did stayed for life. "I had been a psychiatrist there many years before the fire, I moved to Gotham a few years ago" he lied, he'd come from Gotham to Paris.
Paris was a wonderful den of fear, it's residents lived in it daily; it was almost too easy at times to drive a man mad here. "We hope to change the way Parisians see Mental care facilities. In fact we've been lobbying the Parisian government to look in to abuses at other facilities" this was true, but only so that they could take on the patients of these smaller facilities. Power drove Strange, fear drove Crane, both could be had at Arkham.
