A flash of teeth as Mercutio grinned- "Just trust me."

"Okay, I'll take your word for it...but what should I ask you?"

"Hmm, I don't know, I hadn't thought this far. Well, I'm bloodtype AB, I prefer romantic candlelight dinners, and I just love long walks on the beach- "

László laughed. He couldn't help it, the other man was just so entertaining.
"You know, I've never been to the beach."

Mercutio paused, cocking his head. "Never ever?"

He shook his head.
"Never ever."

Mercutio made a flippant, oh, well sort of gesture with one hand. "Nor I."

"Then why did you tell me you like walks on the beach?"

"I'm sure I would like them very much had I ever engaged in one." Walking, scuffling, prancing, sauntering- well, they were really all the same, weren't they?

"I think...I might, too." He sounded almost wistful, though he hadn't meant it to come out that way.

Mercutio's gaze slid over to him, narrow-eyed and considering. "Mm, where's that silliness you promised me? Quick, make haste, drink up!" He took a swallow of his own drink, which to be honest he'd almost forgotten he was holding. László was proving a surprisingly good find for an evening's barfellow, just the right sort to put up with Mercutio and keep the conversation flowing. A nice boy, his stepmother would have said in her strained and proper manner, but, well, maybe Mercutio could make him be a bad boy, or maybe he was one already, for he was certainly keeping up his end of the unspoken entertainment deal.

László did take a drink, still with a smile. He couldn't remember the last time he'd smiled so much. His was face was going to freeze like this.
"I haven't had that much! There'd have to be more than just this."

Mercutio held up his hands in surrender. "Don't expect me to pay for 'em." He snuck a not-so-sneaky glance around, eyes narrowed speculatively for anyone drunk enough for him to rifle their pockets without them noticing.

"Oh, I wouldn't do that. But..."
He paused, biting his lip, but then plunged ahead.
"I could buy a drink for you."

Oh, free drinks, Mercutio really liked those. "Well, this one is already covered, isn't it, but certainly, yes please, if you'd like to test the theory as to whether Italians are really imperviable to drunkenness..."
