Carmilla grinned broadly, although there was an element of sincerity to it. She wasn't flippant by nature, just necessity. Or...well, flippant by vampire nature really was flippant by nature, but the desperate need to bond was stronger in her than in others, and that did have its tendencies towards counteracting the flippancy. Beyond that, every woman was something of an opportunity, a closed door that just might open on something Carmilla had been looking for for quite some time now.
"Beyond lovely of you. I shouldn't want to break a pretty neck."

"I wonder if you could break mine. It would be an interesting test to see just what you could do..."

Carmilla rested her head against the table top, tilting it coyly - or at least as much as she could considering her sort of cramped position. It looked less cramped than it was, though, by virtue of her movements, and therefore she seemed only slightly awkward.
"Of all the things to try me out on, you'd choose that? Come now!"

Roxanna stood, going over to Carmilla. Genlty- very gently- she puched a few strands of hair from the vampire's forehead.
"It's a start."

Carmilla seemed almost surprised at first, and a little off-balanced. Then she smiled, hesitantly at first, and then warming up very quickly, as she usually did. Her hair was her greatest vanity and was particularly sensitive for her, and the lightest touch made her feel a little light-headed. A bit too reckless, no matter how long she spent on this earth, to learn from previous mistakes in any relationship, she leaned forward to kiss the woman's fingertips with her smiling mouth.

The cool feel of Carmilla's lips (free of real life as they may have been) sent a pleasent shiver down Roxanna's spine. She let her fingertips graze the woman's cheekbone, wondering how many humans had willingly gone to hell for such a face.
"I am sure you're told this often, but you are very beautiful."

Carmilla turned into the touch in a simple way - loving the pleasure of it rather than trying to give off a certain image, for although she did think of how she might be viewed, it was generally in retrospect. She rarely looked back on her behavior and found it lacking.
"Thank you," she said with a smile, teeth touching her lower lip as she did, for even if she was told it often - and she was - it was always a pleasure to hear. "It's a phrase one rarely tires of - particularly when the teller is, too." Her smile lent this a note of genuineness it might not have had under most circumstances, probably because it did happen to be the truth in this case that the woman's beauty made Carmilla especially happy her own had been noticed.
Besides, most of the tellers were men, and that only fed her vanity - it was otherwise uninteresting.

"Such...perfection."
Roxannaput her lips close to Carmilla's skin as she whispered to her.
"What depravtites could you be hiding under that veil of lovlieness?"

Carmilla was almost taken aback by the sudden proximity, but then again, she was not going to complain. Carmilla could not immediately recall having ever met another woman who was conscious of her own opinions of their shared sex, and not needing to make all of the advances suited her just fine.
She stroked her hair back from her forehead, tilted her head to try and meet her eyes better and clear her own head, and said, sounding delighted - "What makes you think that they're hidden behind my looks? I can be beautiful and depraved at the same time, you know."

"Then we may get along very well."
Roxanna grinned wryly.
"Do you have a room or would you like it right here on the table?"

How forward! How utter! Carmilla was astonished and delighted; both showed.
"Trial here," he said with almost merciless laughter, leaning forward and cupping the woman's face in her hands, only slightly chilled and quickly warmed by someone else's warm skin, kissing her fully, as though taking a drink from a chalice.

Roxanna kissed herback, enjoying the chill Carmilla sent through her. SHe gently pulled away and whispered in her ear, her tone that of a long-time lover.
"You will never have my blood, but my body is yours."

Carmilla moved back in a jerky moment that was nonetheless somewhat elegant, airy. She shot her a quick look and tapped her fiercely upon the nose. "What a notion!" she said, though she was smiling nonetheless; it was almost endearing to be figured out, to be known, for what she was in all things, right from the start. "Aha. Hm, have you got a room?"
The reminder had brought to mind the fact that Carmilla was currently staying at the Pere Lachaise, which was hardly a place to take a beautiful woman.
