*Lucy. It was the only name, the only reference that Kim had given him, and it was his last hope. She wasn't at any club in Paris; he'd checked. Oh, but he'd checked. So that evening, he waited for someone to get Lucy, awkwardly standing around and praying that she knew something.*

*Lucy had a rather puzzled look on her face, as very few people ever bothered to learn her name, and those that did know it were all in the club already or...in Henry's case, missing. She found, to her surprise, the man she'd once seen at Kim's side.
She blinked at him for a moment*
"Er...ye asked for me?"

"I... that is... are you Miss Lucy Harris?" *He asked.*

"S'me. What's up, 'andsome?"
*She noted the awkward. Rather cute when they were like that*

"My name Christopher Scott." *He said, ignoring her compliments.* "I wanted to ask if you remember a girl by the name of Kim Tien." *His voice got a little softer when he said her name, as if it hurt to do so.*

*The name conjured up a very specific memory. A very vivid one. She slowly nodded*
"Used to be 'ere, workin' outside th' club for a grocer or summat."

*She couldn't really hide the look of sadness that appeared on her face, even if she tried*
"Oh, dearie...she's gone. They came 'n dragged 'er away 'cuz she weren't legal in th' country. I tried t' stop 'em, but I weren't no good. She's back in 'at awful 'omeland of 'ers."

"They... they sent her back to Vietnam?" *He asked hoarsely. There was a horror and a fear in his eyes that spoke volumes.*
"I... do you have any idea where in Vietnam? Hanoi? Saigon?"

*The look on his face...
She felt bad. Rotten, really. She'd been humoring Kim--she'd seen things like it before--and here, she'd been wrong.
She cleared her throat, in an attempt to keep herself from choking up*
"Saigon."

"I have to ... thank you." *He said, standing abruptly.* "You've helped me. I just... I hope it's not too late."

"I... yes. God damn it, the government's not letting... I'll have to pull some strings with the Embassy..." *He mumbled to himself. As if noticing her presence for the first time, he looked up at Lucy.*
"I've got to find her." *He said softly, and with that he left.*

*She sighed when he left. There was no guarantee he'd find her. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack--one girl in a whole big city. Even so, there was also the mess the place was in, from the scant things she'd heard of it. She headed toward the back rooms. She was on soon *
