*Joseph bowed his head respectfully.*
"Please forgive me for interrupting your private reflections. I have spoken to the Archbishop about your case. He has found a calling for you."

*Joseph shifted his weight slightly.*
"There is a local family. They recently suffered a great loss. The lady of the household...died tragically. Her husband is greatly distraught and has sequestered himself. There are growing concerns for her twin infants."

*Joseph nodded.*
"It is, but it is our hope that God has sent you back to the Church to be a beckon to them in their hour of need. Would you be willing to go to the family and care for the children? They are innocent and should not suffer for the grief of their father."

*Virginia nodded eagerly.*
"Certainly. Of course he is in no position to care for his children at this moment...he must be terribly upset."

*Joseph looked up to her.*
"I am sure that it has been especially trying for him. Unfortunately, he is difficult to contact. We have let him know that you are coming to visit, but we are unsure if quarters will be provided there or not. Even if you have to make the journey daily, are you still willing to serve in their need?"

*Joseph smiled softly.*
"Thank you, Miss Sinclair. We are blessed to have you back in the service of God."
*He handed her a piece of paper with the information she would need.*
"If there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to ask."

"Thank you, Father Joseph. I shall make haste to help these people."

***NEW DAY***
*Joseph rushed Clementine into the room and set her on the small bed. He quickly turned to soak a handtowel, wringing it out and returning to her side. He pressed it gently to her forehead, speaking soothingly.*
"Clementine..."

*Clementine fought to stay in control and spoke with a soft and panicked voice. Her eyes fluttered shut again.*
"No, there can't be another. It isn't possible."
*Suddenly her eyes flew open and she edged away from Father Joseph. Though her eyes were just the same eyes they had been a minute ago, they looked more like those of a child.*
"Who are you?"
*She looked around the room.*
"Where is momma?
