Crowley stood up and wrung out his shirt, and then realized that it didn't really matter because it had started to pour again.
"Yeah, well, perhaps you've got other options besides suicide. And besides, you don't know what's waiting for you on the other side. It could be worse."

"I don't have to put up with this," Stephen groaned, walking away.

"Wait," he called, not ready to give up on the man just yet. "Maybe if you tell me why you're so desperate to off yourself, I'll let you do it."

"Is now. I'm not leaving you alone until you tell me, you know."

He opened his mouth to say something back, and instead shuddered and succumbed to the cold in a dead faint.

Crowley blinked and stood over the man, debating what to do. A large part of him wanted to leave the bastard out there, but reason reminded him that he was supposed to be working on this guy. Sighing, Crowley picked the man up and started back to his flat.

**NEW...NIGHT, DUNDUNDUN**
*Treszka, bored at this weird hour of the evening, had taken it upon herself to wander around. She'd gotten into the habit of staying up late, and now that she was on her funky sleep schedule it was hard to break it. She strolled along, hands jammed in her pockets*

*He'd been at the bridge for lack of anything else to do, eschewing more crowded places as in the main he wasn't really a social creature. The Kit Kat was only a casual hang-out, truth be told. Other vampires rarely sat well with him (though rare exceptions like Cal did exist).
The brunette that was now leaning on the bridge railing caught his eye*
"A bit late to be out wandering, isn't it?" He asked pleasantly, standing at a reasonable distance away from her.

*The unexpected voice startled her, causing her to jump a bit. She turned around, and did a double-take at the sight of him. He had dark hair, certainly, and...violet?...eyes. Maybe a bit shorter...
But he looked way too much like her father*
"Whoa...who...who are you?"

*Well, that reaction wasn't quite what he'd been looking for*
"Nobody in particular."
But then, he noticed her eyes. Blue--very blue. A shade distinctive enough that he'd only seen it once...on the last person he wanted to see*
"I could ask you that question."

*Why was he staring at her like that? It gave her goosebumps*
"Huh? I'm just me."
Okay, this is going nowhere fast.
"This is gonna sound weird, but...you look almost exactly like somebody I know."

*Dammit. His hunch had been right*
"Actually, it doesn't. I know exactly who you're talking about."
*He was leaning against the railing opposite from her, arms crossed now*

*With his arms crossed like that, it threw her off...mostly because she knew someone else who stood that way. She shook her head, as though to clear out the cobwebs*
"That's my dad. How the hell is there a twin of his and I never heard about you???"

*Daniel smirked*
"Probably because your parents don't like me very much."
*He glanced about, moving away from the rail--and her--as he did*
"And since I'd rather not deal with either right now, I'll be on my way."
