*A bush rose to Aimery’s cheeks. He always thought it was odd when people seemed to think he couldn’t understand them. He was mute, not foreign. Speaking slowly really didn’t help. But it was better that the ones that would yell at him as if he were deaf. Like that would help if he was. But she seemed nice enough anyways.*
Yes I am. Although I’m not sure if there’s a specific part involved. I’m a dancer.
Best wishes on your audition.
*Aimery smiled at her contently. Suddenly thinking of it, he turned the page over to write on the back.*
It’s really all right for you to talk to me at your own comfort speed. I can understand you. I hope that my writing doesn’t make you too uncomfortable.

*reads his notes and blushes as well*
Oh. I didn't mean to...I mean, I wasn't...it's not that...
Well there goes that publicity angle.
I...I...I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was doing it...

*He felt a little bad that she seemed embarrassed. Aimery bit his lip and thought hard about how to make it better.*
It's all right, I promise. So what part are you auditioning for?
*is smiling like a poor fool*

La Megia Felice, eh? My favorite! I suppose... *Alex's face fell, though not literally, which she really should be careful about given what she'd seen on her little jaunt through time and space.* I suppose I've been gone too long to have a part.
...and I'd so always wanted to be the fisherman...
"Over here, stupid!" *Alex looked over at Shadi, who was shouting at her from a list posted just backstage. "Says you're some fisher-dude."
Honestly, Shadi, did you have to bring that language back with you? This one's *she jabbed her finger in Buffy's direction* bad enough.

Oh my god. Whatever--I'm out.
*Buffy jogged out of the auditorium. She was remembering that time the spell had made them sing, and how even with the auto-tuning that has miraculously accompanied the spell, she'd felt kind of embarrassed. She was so not ready to be in the middle of an opera rehearsal. Plus, opera?
Why hadn't she gotten the Doctor to take her back?*

*smiles back at Aimery and speaks at a normal pace*
I don't really know, actually...I mean, I'm totally familiar with this opera, I sang at the Met when I was seven...I'm just not sure what part I want to try for...
*shifts uncomfortably in her seat and tries to think up something else to say*
So...how long have you been here? I don't think I've seen you before...

*Aimery smiled warmly.*
Yes. I’m newly arrived from Orleans. It was my mother’s dream that I would dance here. I am sorry that she will not be able to see it.
*He had a hint of sadness in his face, but he managed to keep a smile.*
Have you been here long?

*doesn't notice his daness and plows right on*
I haven't been here terribly long myself, but it already feels just like home. You see, I recently filmed a screen adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, The Phantom of the Opera, so I feel like I've been practically living in this opera house for months already! I also, as I said, was in the children's chorus at the Met for five years, so this whole thing is really like a dream come true, since I always wished I could be an opera star...

((Er...should Cecilia talk to the Managers before coming in here and taking charge?))

*looks a little confused*
Excuse me, but what is this Phantom of the Opera? And what is the Met? Please forgive my ignorance.
I am glad to hear you are following your dream.
*smiles a little*

((It's your choice, but since I play the managers you can just pretend that we've already talked, to get it over with and get this rehearsal going faster, if you want.))
*remembers that she has travelled mysteriosuly back in time*
Oh...I forgot...well, nevermind. It's a musical, and I was in the lead and I got lots of praise and awards for it, but it's really not that important.
*coughs and shifts some more, sensing that she was not becomming close enough friends to really be able to show off about later*
Hey, um...are you doing anything after this rehearsal? Do you maybe wanna go get something to eat, or something?

*Aimery's smile widens immensely.*
I am not obligated afterward. I would be honored to escort you to dinner. Would that please you?
*poor fool can't help himself but grin like a mad man. Only less creepy.*

It would please me very much, thank you! Do you know of any good restaraurants near here? I'm afraid I'm only familiar with ones in New York and LA...
*can't help feeling slightly excited herself, though she's not sure why since she's just using him for his PR value*

*Aimery brow furrowed in thought before he started to write*
I’m afraid I have not been here very long, but I think I saw a Cafe Down the Street™. Would you like to go there?
*he blushed*
I mean after rehearsals of course…
*he lowered his face shyly*
